Bonjour !
Hello !
Today it’s Wednesday, and there is a new challenge that starts at Addicted to Stamps and More and the theme is…Christmas. Even if spring and Easter holidays are closer, it’s never too early to make a Christmas card !
Voici ma carte / Here is my card
If there is one thing that I would love to see once in my life, it is an aurora borealis. I find it so magical and beautiful ! To make this card I get inspired by the CAS Christmas theme “Silhouette”. In my head I saw a landscape of the far North lit by the moonlight.
Then little by little the moonlight turned into the aurora borealis but I kept the idea of moonlight for the shape of my winter scene. I created a stencil in the shape of a crescent moon that I put on a white card stock. I made a mask to seperate the sky from the ground and I blended the different colours of Distress inks to create the aurora borealis.
I die cut the deer (x3) in a white card stock and I glued them on top of each other.
I let the stencil and mask in place and I stamped the fir 3 times. I took off the mask and with gray pencils I made the shadows of the trees and the deer.
To finish I fussy cut around the moonlight and I adhered it on the double white card, then I stamped the sentiment.

This is an absolutely WOW card! Gorgeous aurora borealis, and I love the design. There may have to be a CASE in my future, although I’ve never managed a Northern Lights sky even close to this. Beautiful.
