Bonjour !
Hello !
I hope you are well and that you are ready for the new challenge over at Addicted to Stamp and More. A theme for all since it is the “Anything goes” challenge !
I totally fell in love with this adorable set of stamps from Funky Fossil Designs as well as some stencils, and some ongoing challenges inspired me for this card.
Update : Happy and honoured to be one of the outstanding designs over at June CAS Stencil challenge
Happy and honoured to be one of the top 3 over at Creative with Stamps
To comply with the June CAS Stencil challenge, I used a stencil and Perfect Pearls powder to make the sea.
In a sheet of paper, I die cut a wave shape and I used the upper part (“negative”) that I laid down on the double blue card to make a mask. I put the stencil on top and I put dark blue Distress ink through.
I removed the stencil and before the ink was dry, I put Perfect Pearls powder by tapping with a brush. In order for the powder to bind, I sprayed water in the air and put the card through the mist created.
To comply with the June CAS Watercolour Challenge, I stamped the image with blue Versafine ink on a Bristol scrap and I watercolored it with 3 shades of blue (Light, Mid, Dark, challenge theme over at Just Us Girls) with Zig pens and a brush. Then I die cut around the image outlines and I foam mounted the lovely whale on the card.
To finish I stamped the little water spray and the sentiment that complies with the Creative with Stamps challenge.

Super cute whale image and of course beautiful pearly sea waves too. I never tried that trick of misting the perfect pearls to bind them. I think I may have seen Jennifer do it years ago and never got around to trying it!! I must try and remember to have a go! The whale has the perfect cheeky little face and I love how rounded and happy he looks!
