Bonjour !
Hello !
I hope you are well and that you are ready for a new challenge at Less is More, especially since it is the dreaded “One Layer Card” with the theme “spots” ! We are pleased to welcome Maria Rodriguez, our April winner, as our Guest Designer. Feel free to go and admire her blog and leave her a nice comment. And we are back with Uniko, who will be our sponsor throughout the month of June.
Voici mes cartes / Here are my cards
1/ Happiest of birthdays to you ! (using sponsor stamps)
Update : Happy and honoured to be one of the winner over at CAS Colours & Sketches
I must admit that this word “spots” disturbed me a little since I hardly see the difference with the word “dots” that has also the same translation !
Anyway, here is the first card that results. I opted for this set of stamps in which I see rings of course, but also spots (big or small).
I stamped them directly on the double white card with the requested colours of the CAS Colours and Sketches challenge. To finish, I stamped the sentiment in black.
Stamp: Uniko “Background builders – round in cirlces” & “Birthday wishes” (sentiment) – Inks: Altenew “Olive”, CP “Grape crush, Samba”.

For this card I get inspired by the colours of the Colour Throwdown challenge and I used a set of stamps ideal to illustrate our challenge.
I randomly stamped the different spots in the different colors, and finally I stamped the Uniko sentiment in black.
Stamp: Happy Little Stampers “Mix mash” & Uniko “Big & bold – hello” (sentiment) – Inks: Altenew “Sea breeze & Lavender fields”, CP “It’s a girl & Mint to be”.

Update : Happy and honoured to be the winner over at Cute Card Thursday
For this last card, I wanted to “play” with the word “spots” which, at the singular, also means “place”.
So I made this little scene with a set that I recently won, by creating “a surfing spot full of surfs with spots”.
First I die embossed the curved line, then I stamped the adorable duck, once on the card and once on a masking paper.
Once the duck masked, I stamped the surfs and the beach panel. Then I masked all the images in order to make the sand and the blue sky with Distress inks.
Then I coloured the surfs with fine liners and the rest with colour pencils. To finish I stamped the sentiment. I hesitated to color the 2 “o” of the word cool to make 2 more spots !
Stamp: Gerda Steiner “Catch a wave” – Colour Pencils: Faber-Castell Polychromos “#104, 106, 108, 154, 156, 120, 144, 111, 118, 183, 187, 263, 199” – Fine liner : Staedtler “triplus finaliser” – Die : MFT “Snow drift” – Inks : Distress “Squeezed lemonade, Mustard seed, Salty ocean”.

Sorry for such a late visit, Izzy. What fabulous one layers. I’m absolutely loving the pastel spots with that bold hello, it’s so striking. And your third card is so cute and a great use of both meanings of spots. Also perfect for the funny HLS CAS challenge, thanks so much for playing along, Anita x
Oh my goodness that little ducky is such a cool dude!! Absolutely love the CAS design and especially love the curved embossed line underneath the sand, have never seen that done before. Your masking skills are incredible and all that bright colour makes me scream for Summertime. Always love seeing your cards at TIME OUT!
Awesome card. Love the colors and circle designs. Thanks for sharing over at Crafty Catz.
The other cards are awesome also. So creative.

All cute cards. But I really love that duck. Thanks for joining us at Cute card Thursday. Hugz Andrea.x
These are such fun cards. Great use of the challenge colors. Thanks for joining us at CC&S!
Lovely use of this week’s colors, thanks for playing along with us at CC&S.
A trio of spotty loveliness Izzy. I would panic completely at a “spots” or “dots” challenge never mind the OLC which is so rare for me. Your surfboard card is absolutely adorable (love that curved embossed line!) and the spotty surfboards are just too much fun – the sweetest summer card ever! The song “itzy bitzy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini” sprung to mind when i thought of dots/spots, not that I have a suitable stamp but it would have been fun…. thanks for inspiring as always, Lisa xx
A brilliant trio of spots (and dots!!), Izzy … the first is cool, crisp and graphic … and the second has a lovely softness about it with the pastel colour palette! Oh my, that little beach spot with the spotty surf boards and that adorable duck is wonderful … and so much fun … LOVE the clever play on words! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Bises, Anita 🙂
Oh !
Bisous, Jo xx
This is fabulous inspiration for the spots theme Izzy! I love the graphic look of the first two cards and the colour choices are wonderful. But that duck with the spotty surfboards has completely stolen my heart! I let out a little ‘Ahhhhh’ as soon as I saw it. Bravo! It is brilliant.
three amazing cards Izzy. Love your different ideas about using spots! Thanks for playing at AAA Cards, hope to see you join in with future challenge too.
I LOVE all your cards, Izzy. I really, really loved seeing you bring out the HLS Mix Mash set – I love how you used it!

Three wonderful cards, Izzy! I love the grunge! Wonderful colors and placement of the images. We were definitely thinking along the same lines with your wonderful HELLO card. That little duck takes the cake though. I LOVE all the dots on teh surf boards, but my favorite thing is the reflection is his glasses. I just LOVE that! Sending hugs to you. xx
