Cartes de Noël Vintage / Vintage Christmas cards

Bonjour !

Hello !

Preparing a Christmas market for the first Sunday of December, I am thoroughly into tags, cards and other projects. It goes without saying that I also inspire myself enormously from all the projects I see at the moment through the different blogs! And for once (😀), I chose today to be inspired by the theme Vintage of the Challenge # 303 of Less is More!

For me, the vintage word evokes a loaded card, full of vintage paper, ribbons, lace, old colors … the proof is that everyone can be wrong because I discovered in this challenge that Vintage can also be CAS, all depends on the material used! I remembered a stamp that I had and that would do very well. For me this set of stamps makes quite Vintage with these buckles, the handwriting that we can distinguish very lightly on the background of the fir. And above all, the calligraphy of the sentiment !

In this set of stamps, there are two main stamps and the sentiment. Ideal for mass production. So I then played on the colors and on the type of paper.

I chose to use a double white card slightly iridescent. In the same type of paper I die cut an Oval the support to stamp the main image with Altenew ink.

On the double card I stamped the sentiment with the same ink then I adhered the picture with adhesive foam.

Un gros plan sur le sapin. A closer look on the fir.

And as I was in the Vintage mood, I went further making these two cards even more Vintage. Always with the same set of stamps.

I aged (I don’t know if we can say that) a sheet of white paper with Distress inks. Then I stamped on the music score, the main picture and the sentiment. I cut the music score and the sentiment and I aged the edges. Then I fussy cut the main image.

Then I adhered the different elements on a double card and I only added a ribbon knot (to accentuate the Vintage look.)

    Bises.

  2. You’ve captured that vintage look brilliantly, Isabelle, with the crisp stamping of those fabulous flourished images … on both the stylish CAS duo and on the softer, aged, ribbon adorned duo … so pretty! Enjoy creating for the Christmas Market! Bises, Anita 🙂

  3. I’m loving the two different looks you’ve created here. Ideal stamps for our vintage theme and your CAS cards are beautifully simple.
    Thanks for sharing with us.

  6. These are wonderful Izzy, so crisp and CAS yet still so beautifully Vintage too. Great to see you playing along at Less is More with us this week. Thanks so much. I think you have also linked up to AAA Cards but I can’t seem to see the link back to our blog … maybe I’m being a dummy but thanks for sharing there too. Sarah x

  7. These are so beautiful Izzy! You’ve totally succeeded in creating an authentic vintage look that’s not at all fussy. The tree and deer stamps are gorgeous with the hidden text and swirls, and I love how you’ve layered them onto sheet music for the final two cards – perfect! Thanks for playing along with us at Less is More 🙂
