The Rainbow Card Challenge #34 – Glorious Goldenrod

Bonjour !

Hello !

We are the 1st of the month so it also means a new challenge starting over at Rainbow Card Challenge with a new color: goldenrod !

Voici ma carte / Here is my card

Today it’s my friend’s birthday and this is the card I made for her. I hope it arrived on time.

To make the background, I used Gelatos. On a rectangle white card stock I put a very thin layer of white modeling paste as gesso. Once dry, I made a gradient with the Gelatos, I sprayed some water on top and with my finger I blended the colours. In order to fix the colours, I used transparent texture paste with a leafy stencil.

As I didn’t want that my die cuts all white, I creased a white tissue paper and once unfolded, I softly passed my Versamark pad on the creases in order to emboss with gold powder. Then I glued the tissue paper on a white card stock and I waited for it to dry before die cutting the foliage.

To finish, I stamped and I gold heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of Vellum. I glued the foliage die cuts on the background and I attached the Vellum strip on top. Then I foam mounted this panel on the double white card.
