Less is More #419 – White & Cream

Bonjour !

Hello !

I hope you are well. It’s a new challenge that starts today over at Less is More with a combo of colors that left me perplexed at first …

… but after the first card made, new ideas came.

I think that this combo of colours is perfect for a wedding so I made a congratulations card.

I first created the flower with dies and iridescent cream paper. I bulged the petals with a stylus, glued the different layers on top of each other and put a pearl in the center.

I embossed the edges of a square white card stock with an embossing folder for borders. Then I flat adhered the panel on the double white card.

I glued the flower on the double white card and I white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of Vellum that I glued under the flower. Two little pearls are hiding the glue dots.

Stamp : Simply Graphic “Planche Félicitations” – Embossing folder : K-Kingdom – Die: K-Kingdom “Cherry blossom”.

For this second card, I have inverted the colors. The double card is an iridescent cream paper and the embellishments are white.

On the double card I stamped and white heat embossed a flower and the sentiment. Then I dry embossed a frame with the scoring board.

To finish I die cut a butterfly and I adhered it on the double card.

Stamp : Uniko “Fun flowers” & “Passiflora”, Simply Graphic “Planche Un petit coucou” (sentiment) – Die: STAMPlorations “Flutter Zen 1 layering die”.

3/ Merci

I found at Action store, some time ago now, some embossing folders but that also have a cutting die inserted on some patterns. It was time to use it !

On a white square panel I dry embossed the florals. Then I put some iridescent cream paper on the dies to obtain the flowers in cream colour.

I adhered this panel on a double card then I put back the white die cuts and I glued the cream die cuts on top.

To finish I die cut the sentiment : the background of the word in white and the word in cream.

Embossing folder : Action– Die: Simply Graphic “Planche Remerciement et ses dies”.

  1. Wow! Three stunning cards you really were on a roll. I love each one for different reasons but the butterfly is simply stunning!

  2. Wow! What stunning inspiration Izzy! Your first card is really pretty and the dry embossing is a lovely touch. My jaw dropped to the floor when I saw the precise heat embossing on the second card – that is awesome and the butterfly is beautiful. Lucky you finding those embossing folders – they look like real fun to use. Love all 3 cards xx

  3. Izzy, you’ve rocked this colour challenge. Three awesome creations and you have some great products in your stash. You’ve made these colours look so stylish with your designs and I think my favourite is the butterfly card. I love the delicate white elements on the pearly cream. Great job! xx

  4. Absolutely stunning cards. Thank you for translating in to English too! 😀.
The one thing I don’t understand is where you have said on all three cards (I think lol), you adhered the panel on a double card! What is a double card please? Sorry for not understanding 😍.

  6. Wow Izzy!!! These are gorgeous!!! I love the embossed border on #1. I have some of those embossing folders for edges in my stash. You’ve inspired me to take them out. I love the way you gave the flower dimension. Very classy and elegant card. #2 made me swoon. What a fabulous use of the colors. That butterfly looks fantastic on the cream base. #3 also fabulous. I have never seen an embossing folder with dies. What a find, and you used them perfectly for this challenge. Beautifully done. xx
