Hello !

I hope that you have enjoyed our first challenge of the year “Purple” and our new 2-week formula ! Thanks for all you wonderful creations in our gallery. Today a new challenge starts at Less is More, the famous One Layer Card and with a very adorable theme…

I remind you that our sponsor for January is Skull and Cross Buns.

1/ C’est ta journée – It’s your day

I was gone to the sales and only the sales and I do not know how this adorable stamp (not on sales !) ended up in my basket at the time of checkout ? Anyway, today it is on my card ! Which is a very good thing considering that next Thursday it is my daughter’s birthday.

I stamped and heat embossed it. I then masked the lower part of the card and the image to make the soil and the sky with Distress inks. For the clouds, I die cut their shape in a Post-it note that I used as a mask.

To finish I coloured the image with colour pencils, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment.

Stamp: Artemio ref.10040064, Simply Graphic “planche Anniversaire” – Inks: Distress “Tumbled glass, Peeled paint, Salty ocean, Spun sugar” – Die: MB “Puffy clouds” – Pencils: Faber-Castell Polychromos “102, 184, 190, 119, 154, 156, 189, 132, 230 232”.

Seize the toppings: One Layer
Penny Black and More January: Something new

2/ Warmest wishes

For this card I’ve been inspired by Kimberly from Wienerhoneymooners, one of the fabulous muses from Muse Christmas Vision. You’ll find her adorable card hereafter.

As it is a OLC challenge, I stamped and heat embossed this little penguin directly over the card base and I drew a black frame with a fine marker. Then I coloured the image with markers and coloured pencils. For the shadow, I made a mask of the image and I used Distress inks.

To finish I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment.

Happy and honoured to be one of the Stars at Muse Christmas Visions

Stamp: Stamping Bella “The penguin and the marshmallow”, Uniko “Organic wishes” & “Pure florals: poinsettia” (sentiment) – Inks: Distress “Tumbled glass, Stormy sky” – Markers: Fabrico “#122, 111, 142, 114”, Staedtler Triples finaliner “black” – Pencils: Faber-Castell Polychromos “#132, 230, 232, 108, 225, 163”.

3/ Love you so much

On Thursday my dear hubby celebrated his birthday and here is the lovely card he received with all my best wishes.

I love to use dies to dry emboss and to highlight the image.

This adorable pig is stamped and heat embossed, then I coloured it with a marker. The heart is also coloured with a marker and I also put some Glossy accent to give glimmer and even more dimension.

To finish I stamped and I heat embossed the sentiment.

Stamp: MFT “Hog heaven”, Uniko “so much” (sentiment) – Markers: Fabrico “#134, 114” – Dies: K-kingdom “hearts” – Embellishment: Glossy accent.

  1. You’ve totally rocked the cute challenge, Izzy! Three great cards with different looks, bravo! I love the scene you created in your first card and that clean, masked line -fab!! The image in your second card is so cute and I love the border you created, it adds a lot of interest. Your third card with the dry embossed hearts looks amazing -I’m afraid to use this technique because I always think I mess up the end result! You never do! 🙂 Hugs!

  2. Wow! Love all your cards. Your Less is More cutie took me over the top…your daughter will love it! I didn’t even know Simply Graphic had stamps… will have to check that out!

  3. three super cute cards Izzy. That piggy with the dry embossed heart frame has stolen my heart! I just adore this card and I am sure your husband did too. It always amazes me how you come up with so many ideas, takes me ages to come up with one! And penguins, we can never have too many cards with penguins! Always love to see them in my feed, Lisa xx

  4. A real trio of cuteness here Izzy! Your blending on the first card is just perfection and even if the stamp wasn’t on sale, it was a really good find. Love the gorgeous and warm coloring on your second card. But I had to smile at your last card – how funny we both embossed with dies this week 😉 That glossy heart that your adorable pig is holding is super. xx

  5. So fun, so cute, so adorable, Isabelle … all three! The tiny piglet is just too sweet carrying that squashy, shiny heart … scrumptious hot chocolate for your cosy, wrapped up little penguin (il aurait besoin d’un imperméable et un grand parapluie ici en ce moment!) … and just a darling scene with the not-on-sale set (had to chuckle!), balloons are always so celebratory! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Bonne Semaine! Hugs & bises, Anita 🙂

  6. Cuteness overload, Izzy! I’m always inspired by your creativity. Adore them all, but I absolutely LOVE your third card for your hubby. He’s one lucky man! Your embossed hearts look incredible and really highlighted that cutie pig perfectly. The extra details you added just took it over the top. Amazing. Have a wonderful week. xx

  7. Such a marvellous section of cards, cute and adorable x Had a chuckle about you going to the sales and then buying the fabulous stamp that wasn’t in the sale. Thank you for sharing these beauties and as always the marvellous inspiration x

  8. Wow I came her to look at the card for TIME OUT and your LIM-card, but what a treat to see so many cute and great coloured CAS cards! Thank you for joining us at TIME OUT! And for the inspiration!

  9. A bunch of wonderfulness!! super sweet piggy, and our challenge card is spot on! WOW, I need more energy like you have!! Thanks so much for joining us at MUSE Christmas Visions!

  10. WOW! Izzy you put me to shame with all your incredible creations. So beautiful, so cute (of course) so colourful and bursting with fun techniques. Love the de-bossed heart around the little piggy in particular. All are full of fun and perfect for the challenge. Have a great week x
