Carte/Card

Fusion – Autumn leaves

Bonjour !

Hello !

I finally managed to tidy up my scrap room and especially my desk where I found some “leftovers” from previous cards! When I gathered them I immediately thought of the last challenge of Fusion “Autumn Leaves” and here is the picture of inspiration …

et voici ma carte…/and here is my card…

For my card I only used the inspiration picture and I didn’t take into account the sketch. I only had to make the Bokeh background and to stamp the sentiment.

I found these leaves that I had cut at the same time as others to make a card (nº 3) that you can find HERE. The technique used is that of tissue paper with watercolors.

I also found the turquoise frame but I can not remember for which card it was intended, it is part of the many tests that end up wandering on a corner of the desk ! It was die cut and coloured with a Promarker.

On the double white card, I have delimited a rectangle with masking tape before blending 4 colors of Distress inks to make a background Bokeh as in the photo. I splashed with water and once dry, I added some white circles with an applicator and white ink. I dried with the heat gun. Then I stamped the sentiment with the darker Distress ink.

Finally I adhered the end of the branch in a corner of the frame that I foam mounted on the card.

And Voilà ! Conclusion: do not throw anything away and always keep the little things of other projects, it can always be useful!

  1. It’s really beautiful Izzy! Love the strong contrast of the orange leaves with the blue blended background. And what a lot of wonderful treasures you had lurking on your craft desk. Thanks for playing along with the current AAA Cards Challenge.

  2. It’s gorgeous Izzy and it really made me giggle, it reminded me so much of me using my spare bits up. And even better when they end up producing something new and amazing! That bokeh background is beautiful. I have only done it with removing ink before, but the impact is stunning when adding the white dots with an applicator. Beautiful design, beautiful colours, love it! Lisa xx

  3. An absolute dream! There are so many gorgeous entries in that Fusion gallery I’d have to pick 10 winners. Yours would definitely be one of them.

  4. Izzy, your pretty fall leaves have brought a smile to my face, as we’re already shifted from autumn to winter here! And the blue background…stunning! A marvelous translation of the inspiration photo! So thrilled to see your creativity in the FUSION and STAMPlorations CAS galleries!
