Bonjour !
Hello !
I don’t know for you but I want colours ! Thankfully, spring is at our door and the flowers and the trees are blooming everywhere ! Today, we really have a spring day with a beautiful blue sky !
It occurs that the current challenges of Less is More (#319) and CASology (wk 240) have the same theme: leaf / foliage. But creativity does not allow us to go beyond the conventional? That’s what I did by creating this card!
It’s a long time I wanted to use this NBUS tropical leaves stamp set. For me “tropical” goes with “colourful”, so I took off my multicolour ink pad and I had fun stamping these beautiful leaves in all the colours on a white double card !
In order to give a bit of dimension to the card, I embossed with a border embossing folder , some little leaves which also enable to mark out and to place the sentiment without being lost on the card !
Then I stamped the sentiment with black Versafine ink and I heat embossed with clear powder. And to finish, I added some Wink of Stella on the leaves, unfortunately the picture is not as good as the card IRL !
And as I had a lot of fun, I decided to make another card !
Not a big change, I just stamped three leaves and I embellished the space between each, with smaller leaves, then I changed the sentiment !
And Voilà ! I’m pretty happy with the result and these are two easy-to-do cards that could go for other occasions by changing the sentiment !
Before leaving you, I wanted to share with you some pictures I took today. In fact they could be from last year or even from the year before since I do not get tired of taking them every year ! 😄

I love these CAS cards Izzy, both of them are such pretty colours. I may need to get that ink pad – I have some butterfly stamps that would look really good with this ink. I really like the embossed border too, such a simple touch but so effective in marking the areas for the leaves and the sentiment – another idea I need to steal! Thank you so much for all your inspiration, I really do enjoy seeing what you create, Lisa xx
