Less is More Week #331 : Neapolitan

Bonjour !

Hello !

Today is the first Saturday of the month which means that it is our colour week here at Less is More, and here is our cue card.

This week we wish to see in your cards 3 colors : chocolate / strawberry / vanilla, those of Neapolitan ice cream !

Our sponsor for the month of June is STAMPlorations and we are very happy to welcome Shery Russ as our Guest Designer !

Here is what I’ve created to inspire you !

I don’t know if it’s true but in any case it’s super good! I did resist the ice cream but not those adorable little chicks that I stamped with Distress ink on a textured paper and then heat embossed with clear powder. As the paper is thick enough I colorized this image with a brush and Distress inks diluted more or less with water. The image is then cut with a rectangular stitched die and then glued onto soft pink paper. Everything is mounted on a double card made in the same paper and framed with a brown frame.

Stamp: Stamping Bella “Chicks with a sprinkle on top” – Inks: Distress “Vintage Photo, Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade” – Marker: Tsukineko Fabrico dual marker “#131, #112 & #111” – Dies:  SSS “Stitched rectangle”, QuicKutz “Nesting card Templates”

2/ Ciao ! (using sponsor stencil)

Well, I don’t know for you, but when I think Italy, I think Vespa ! There are so much over there ! To make this card, I first used a stencil from our sponsor to make the pavement of the road. Then I stamped the Vespa, the cloud, the smoke and the sentiment with Distress ink and I heat embossed with clear powder. Still with Distress inks and a brush, I coloured the Vespa.

Stamp: Paper Smooches “Spiffy Scooters” – Inks: Distress “Vintage Photo, Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade” – Marker: Tsukineko Fabrico dual marker “#131” – Stencil:  ARTplorations “Broken Glass”

3/ Joyeux Anniversaire / Happy Birthday (using sponsor die and stamp)

I made this card for my teammy Trina who celebrated her birthday last Wednesday ! The trip being long, I hope that this cute little deer will have arrived on time ! As for the previous cards, I used the Distress inks to stamp and to colour this image and the sentiments. For the “happy” word, I used a die from our sponsor. I cut the word twice, once in pink paper, and another time in brown paper and I adhered them together but lightly offset. For the bottom part of the card, I cut a wood patterned brown paper with creative cutting scissors. Then I glued some pink gifts die cuts on it.

Stamp: STAMPlorations “Reindeer games”, Uniko “Happy Succulents” (birthday sentiment) – Inks: Distress “Vintage Photo, Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade” – Marker: Tsukineko Fabrico dual marker “#131” – Dies:  STAMPlorations “happy”, Simply Graphic “Etiquettes cadeaux”- Scissors: Fiskars Paper Edgers “Deckle”.

  1. Three fantastic designs, Izzy. I adore that first card, such a cute image with the chicks and ice cream tower and it is perfectly framed with that lovely stack of co-ordinating panels. The Vespa image makes a wonderfully fun card, I’ve never seen that one before. You really do have some great items in your stash, just like that deer, such a fun card for Trina’s birthday. Great work again this week xx
