Bonjour !
Hello !
OMG…it’s already friday ! Hurry up, I’m still on time for this post and for entering with another card in the latest challenge of Less is More. In fact, the inspiration came when I saw the new challenge at Time OUT, so yes, it’s true, one more time it’s a mix of challenges !
I used the words “rain” and “rainbow” from the Time OUT challenge and I highlighted them with frames (cue word of the Less is More challenge). A square stitched frame for the rainbow rain and a cloud shape frame for the sentiment.
On a white cardstock I made the rain with a stencil and distress inks using the rainbow colours. Then I embossed the square shape with a die. I adhered this image on a double white card with double sided adhesive sheet (so that the inside of my card isn’t embossed). I wrote the sentiment with the MISTRAL (18pt) font, I printed it and I cut it with a cloud shape die. I die cut another cloud that I coloured in gray with a marker. I adhered them together slightly offset, then I glued them on the image with some Glue Dots.
And Voilà ! A simple card which, depending on the context, can be used as an hello card or as a moral support card. Personally I had a lot of fun doing it, that’s what matters, right?

I am in love with this fantastic card! Absolutely adore the beautifully framed and rainbow colored drops with the sentiment in a cloud! Brilliant!
Oooh Susanne ! You make me blush ! Thanks so much !

What a bright and happy card. I love your rainy rainbow. And, such a cute way to place your sentiment. Thanks so much for playing along at Time Out.
Thanks so much Joyce for your sweet words !
So pretty! I am thinking that a rain stencil would be very useful to have. And you can’t go wrong with rainbow colours in my opinion. I loved the embossed frame too, I have been trying to remember to do these more on my cards. They add a great extra detail without another layer. Love your card Izzy, Lisa x
Thank you so much Lisa ! I sometimes forget to use great techniques, so using them repeatedly helps me to remember ! I should do that with lot of other techniques ! Hugs !
Ahhh, Isabelle … rainbow rain, how glorious … such brilliant stencilling and fabulous framing of both the image and the sentiment! Love it! Thanks so much, as always, for playing along with us at Time Out! Bises, Anita 🙂
Merci beaucoup Anita ! Bises
This is beautiful, Izzy! Your stencilled rainbow raindrops look amazing and I like how you used the cloud to carry the sentiment.
Thank you very much Susan ! I learned a lot with your CAS cards !
What a creative idea to use the cloud for a frame. Gorgeous blending with the rain drops stencil. Great layout too x
Thanks so much Mable !
Magnifique !!!
Bravo !
Bises.
Merci mille fois Estelle !

Glad you were on time Izzy and I apologise for being late commenting! I adore your raindrops! Your card is a visual feast of rainbow colour and each shade is perfectly blended into the next. Such a fabulous design. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Less is More xx
Oh thank you Sharon !
Another stunning take on our frame challenge Izzy. I can’t resist rainbow colours so all of those multi-coloured rain drops are a perfect treat. Super neat, super cheery and another wonderful card from you. Thanks for joining us at Less is More this week.
Thanks so much Sarah for you kind words ! You make me blush !😊
This is fab <3 The inking is gorgeous, such yummy bright colours, and the stitched lines of the frame holds it all so perfectly as a focal point. Love it! Thanks so much for playing along with us again at Less is More 🙂
Thanks so much Esther ! It was fun doing it !
