I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Today my card combines 2 challenges : Muse #203 and Less is More #316. Muse inspiration photo is a card made by the talented Tracey McNeely :
Quand j’ai vu cette photo je savais que je pouvais faire quelque chose mais je ne trouvais pas quoi, jusqu’à découvrir hier le nouveau challenge de Less is More, là j’ai tout de suite vu ce que je pouvais faire en combinant les deux challenges. J’ai remplacé les boîtes de médicaments par les lettres et j’ai gardé les couleurs et le design de Tracey McNeely.
When I saw this photo I knew that I was able to do something but I did not find what, up to discover yesterday the new challenge from Less is More, then I immediately imagined what I could do combining both challenges. I replaced the pills boxes by letters and I kept Tracey McNeely‘s colors and design.
J’ai depuis longtemps dans mon stock un set de tampons alphabet qui n’a encore jamais servi, il était temps de le sortir et d’en faire quelque chose ! J’ai pris les lettres pour former le mot “joyeux” et je les ai tamponnées avec différentes encres de couleur à l’exception de la lettre “y” que j’ai tamponnée en noir et coloriée par la suite avec un promarker.
Since a long time I have in my stash a never used alphabet stamp set, it was time to get it out and to do something with it ! I took the letters to form the word “joyeux” and I stamped them with different coloured inks except the letter “y” that I stamped in black and then coloured with a promarker.
J’ai passé du Wink of Stella sur chaque lettre puis j’ai marqué les contours avec un feutre fin noir. Sur du papier noir j’ai tamponné le mot “anniversaire” avec de l’encre Versamark puis j’ai embossé à chaud avec de la poudre blanche.
I brushed some Wink of Stella over each letter then I drew the outlines with a thin black marker. On black paper I stamped the word “anniversaire” with Versamark ink then I heat embossed with white ink.
Et voilà ! Une carte d’anniversaire simple et rapide à faire, c’est toujours bien d’en avoir d’avance !
And Voilà ! A simple and quickly done birthday card, it’s always good to have some stored !

Isn’t it wonderful when you have a stamp set that just works completely and especially one that has been sitting around for years and not used before! I love this card Izzy, so bright and colourful and a really great design. The size of the letters work brilliantly for this card and are a perfect focal point. Love the choice of colours too! You are right, we can never have too many birthday cards stored in our stash. This would also be a great one to do for men! I am always thinking about the masculine cards as I find them so hard :).
