Carte/Card

SSS – Grand & petit chat : amitié / Big & small cat : friendship

Bonjour !

Hello !

As I told you yesterday in my post, I had a second idea for a card for Less is More challenge #315 : “opposites attract”. Indeed, a week ago we welcomed a lovely 3 months’old kitten  to keep company to our big tom that has been depressing since the death of its mother !

When I saw them side by side, the difference in size immediately struck me and made me think of the theme of the challenge !

So I pulled out my cat stamps from Simon Says Stamp and I created this simple scene. On the first day the kitten, Mitzu, was doing the big back and was spitting in front of our cat, Loulou, but they ended up communicating through the game ! A piece of string that moves always amuses the cats, whether small of big !

On a double white card and thanks to several masks, I stamped the different elements of the scene with black Versafine ink. Then I simply coloured the cats and the ball of wool with colour pencils.

To finish I stamped the sentiment once again in Bold and small typography to represent the opposites. And Voilà the story of this card !

  1. Awwwww, I love this sweet card Izzy. Such a good idea to have the little and big cats together and I love the story of how they became friends through their love of the ball of wool, that is adorable! I hope they become really good friends the longer they are together. And of course I am always partial to some coloured pencils, and the softness of the colouring is perfect for this card, Lisa xx

  2. It’s great to see you playing along with us Izzy and WOW a second card too. Full of a super fun and cuteness. A brilliant little scene, gorgeous colouring and a perfect take on our opposites challenge. Thanks for playing along at Less is More this week. Sarah

  3. Love your fabulous card and it certainly is a great reflection of your kitties. I bet your older cat is thrilled to have some company since he lost his mother-cat. Thanks for joining us at AtCAS this week

  4. This is just adorable Izzy! Super cute images and I must admit that I’m partial to a bit of colouring with just colouring pencils too. Your cats look gorgeous (both on the card and your real ones!) It must be lovely for your older cat to have some company now. Thanks so much for joining us again at Less is More this week xx

  5. I’m so glad you had time to do your second card, and what a fab one it is! (Mitzu and Loulou are so gorgeous, anything inspired by them was bound to be awesome!) I love the contrast of the big cat and small cat with the little ball of wool… so sweet! Totally adorable and a super extra entry to our “opposites” challenge. Thanks so much for playing along with us again at Less is More 🙂
