I’m back with a reminder post for challenge #61 at Day of the Month Card Club and its Panda theme.

National Panda Day

Bien sûr je n’ai pas pu résister à acheter cet adorable tampon de Colorado Craft Company par Anita Jeram pour illustrer ce thème.

Of course I couldn’t resist buying this adorable stamp from Colorado Craft Company by Anita Jeram to illustrate this theme.

Voici ma carte / Here is my card

Pour mettre en valeur ce joli tampon, j’ai imaginé (tout comme pour ma première carte ICI) une forêt de bambous. Mais je ne voulais pas reprendre le même pochoir. Alors j’ai cherché sur Internet une jolie image et j’ai essayé de la représenter avec des encres et des marqueurs.

To highlight this lovely stamp, I imagined (as for my first card HERE) a bamboo forest. But I didn’t want to use the same stencil again. So I searched on the web an image and I tried to represent it with inks and markers.

J’ai donc d’abord découpé un carré de papier blanc avec une matrice de découpe. Puis j’ai tamponné le panda et je l’ai masqué.

First I die cut a square in white card stock. Then I stamped the panda and I masked it.

J’ai mélangé des encres Distress vertes pour faire le fond lumineux ainsi que le talus sur lequel il est assis.

I blended Distress inks to make the glowing background as well as the embankment he is sitting on. 

Puis avec les marqueurs j’ai dessiné les bambous et l’ombre du panda. J’ai fini par utiliser un crayon aquarelle Zig pour faire l’herbe sur le bord en bas de l’image.

Then with markers I drew bamboos and the shadow of the panda. At the end I used a Zig watercolour brush pen to make the grass on the bottom edge of the image.

Satisfaite du résultat, j’ai enlevé le masque du panda et je l’ai coloré avec des crayons de couleur.

Satisfied with the result, I took off the mask from the panda and I coloured it with coloured pencils.

Pour finir, j’ai collé cette image sur une double noire sur laquelle j’ai tamponné et embossé en blanc le sentiment provenant du même set.

To finish, I flat adhered this image on a double black card on which I stamped and I white heat embossed the sentiment from the same set.
