Seize the Birthday #267 GD – Make a Shaped Card

Bonjour !

Hello !

So thrilled to be back for sharing a card for another two weeks of my Surprise Party Guest role at Seize the Birthday. For this fortnight it’s all about Shaped Cards.

And if you’re not comfortable with this theme, you can still play with the Anything Goes theme, as long as it is a Birthday card !

Voici ma carte / Here is my card

Update : So glad to be one of the top 4 at AAA Birthday challenge.

As I wanted to use the cute bee stamp from Anita Jeram, I went for an hexagon shaped card, as an hive cell.

I first delineated the edges of the card with washi tape then I used a “honeycomb” stencil and yellow inks to make the background.

Then I stamped the different flowers and the bee on white card stock with no-line colouring ink. I coloured them with coloured pencils and I die cut them.

As I wanted to make a pun with the sentiment and not having the stamp for it, I had to write the “autiful” part. What I did before gluing all the flowers, just in case…
