Bonjour !

Merci à toute l’équipe de me recevoir !

Hello !

I’m excited to be guest designing today at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown for their January Colour challenge. Thanks to all the team for welcoming me over !

Très joli combo vous ne trouvez pas ? Voici comment j’ai été inspirée…

Very nice combo don’t you think so ? Here is how I’ve been inspired…

Update: Happy and honoured to be the winner at Merry Little Christmas.

First question, what makes end of year celebrations with turquoise, silver and brown? For turquoise, I immediately thought of the blue sky. From there it resulted a snowy sky and therefore a silver snowflake. I had more trouble with brown. While rummaging through my dies stash the idea came.

During sales at Charlie & Paulchen last year, I bought a few dies including this majestic deer. So I die cut it from kraft paper and I added a bit of brown ink around the edges with a foam applicator.

To highlight this deer, I die cut a large tag on which I made a turquoise gradient with Distress oxide inks. I put it through a “snowy” embossing folder and with a silver ink pad, I softly brushed on the snowflakes. Then I flat adhered it on the double white card.

I finally die cut the ribbon and the snowflake in a silver glittery paper and I glued them on the card.

To finish I stamped the sentiment with silver ink.
