Pour le mois de septembre, l’éléphant est à l’honneur chez The day of the Month Card Club. Et il se trouve aussi qu’un des membres de l’équipe fêtait son anniversaire cette semaine…

Hello !

In September, the elephant is in the spotlight at The day of the Month Card Club. Moreover one of the team members was celebrating his birthday this week …

J’ai donc créé cette scène, qui nous emmène dans la savane au milieu des éléphants.

So I created this scene, which takes us to the savannah among the elephants.

J’ai commencé par découper un masque qui représente le soleil couchant et ses tirants. J’ai délimité la carte blanche en deux parties avec de la bande adhésive, puis j’ai appliqué une première couche d’encre jaune. J’ai mis le masque puis j’ai continué en appliquant de l’encre orange en faisant un dégradé du soleil vers l’extérieur de la carte.

I started by cutting a mask which represents the sun and its rays. I divided the white card in two parts with adhesive tape, then I brushed one layer of yellow ink. I put the mask on the card and I went on by brushing orange ink and by making a gradient from the sun to the outside of the card.

J’ai déplacé la bande adhésive puis j’ai appliqué de l’encre noire sur le bas de la carte. Puis j’ai enlevé la bande adhésive et j’ai tamponné en noir les différents éléments : herbe, éléphants, arbre et oiseaux.

I moved the tape and then I applied black ink to the bottom of the card. Then I took off the adhesive tape and I stamped the different elements in black: grass, elephants, tree and birds.

Sur un morceau de papier blanc, j’ai tamponné ce petit curieux et je l’ai coloré avec des marqueurs. Je l’ai découpé à la main et je l’ai collé avec des carrés de mousse adhésive.

On a scrap of white paper, I stamped this curious little one and I coloured it with markers. I fussy cut it and I mounted it with squares adhesive foam.

Pour finir, et une fois l’encre noire totalement sèche, j’ai tamponné et embossé en blanc le sentiment.

To finish, and once the black ink totally dry, I stamped and I white heat embossed the sentiment.

Et voilà ! J’adore la frimousse de cet adorable éléphant et j’espère qu’elle aura fait rire le le destinataire de cette carte.

Et voilà ! I love the little face of this adorable elephant and I hope it made the recipient of this card laugh.
