Bonjour !
Hello !
I hope you are enjoying the weekend ! Here it’s a very rainy weekend, one more occasion to go into the scraproom and to play a little bit ! For my today’s card I get inspired by the challenges at Muse- Christmas visions and HLS – Watercolour challenge.
Lindsey at Muse Christmas Visions proposes us this wonderful card as inspiration, and I simply copied it !
On my working mat, I put pink and blue Distress inks and I sprayed some water on top of it. Then I put a paper mix media on it and I slightly moved it so that the inks soak the paper. Then I put a crumpled piece of cellophane on it and I let it dry. Ardyth made a video on her blog where she shows us very well how to do.
Once dry, I cut a square in the watercolour paper, I stitched the edges with a die then I foam mounted it on the double white card.
I die cut the hill, the houses and the firs in a white cardstock. I stamped and I silver heat embossed the sentiment on the hill. Then I adhered the different elements on the watercolored background.
And Voilà ! Apart from the drying time, this card is relatively fast to make. One more card for next Christmas !
Thanks for visiting and feel free to leave me a comment, I am always delighted to hear from you. Have a fabulous week and see you soon I hope ! 😉

Beautiful soft winter sky. Thank you for sharing your card at Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge.
So lovely. My favorite kinds of skies. Ah those colors.
A gorgeous smooshed and wrapped background, Isabelle … the sky is so deliciously cool and frosty looking … fabulous with the crisp, white, snowy village! Je te souhaite un peu du soleil! Bises & hugs, Anita 🙂
Beautiful background Izzy. Love the placement of your snowy die cuts making it such a lovely scene. Thanks for sharing at HLS for our Watercolour Challenge.
Oh my goodness – we had the same idea with this set from Simon Says Stamp! I used it with a watercolour background too a few days ago which was a lot bolder! I love the softness of your sky and the beautiful flow of the village across the whole panel. It’s very beautiful Izzy, and yet more inspiration for this very handy die set from Simon. Hugs, Lisa xx
Your sky looks nice and frosty as a backdrop for the cute row of houses! Love this card!
You’ve created such a wonderful scene with your watercoloured background and the houses on the hill. Love the softness of it. So beautifully coloured. Thanks for sharing at the Watercooler Wednesday All About Christmas Challenge this week.
A really lovely way to show off the little village, love this! Thank you for sharing it with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
A really beautiful background that is perfect to show off the white die-cut houses. Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday.
Oh, I love how your colours stayed a bit more separate, giving such pretty pinks and blues! Thanks for joining us at MCV, Izzy!
If you’re like me, you may find this background technique just a little bit addicting! 🙂 Beautiful result.
Lovely background, crispy and so peaceful!
Lovely design, Isabelle! Thanks for joining us at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge. Marsha DT.
Great technique on that beautiful background and fabulous inspiration card too from Lindsey x
Bises.
Isabelle that background is amazing! I love the combinations of colours and textures. I love the combination of stitched die-cuts. The hill really serves to anchor those houses nicely. And the simple silver embossed sentiment–perfect. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
Came out real beautiful! Love the little scene you created with those fun houses! So happy to see you playing along with us at MCV, Izzy! Come back next week, too!
