Carte/Card

STAMPlorations 5th birthday – CASEing Julie

Bonjour !

Hello !

If you’ve seen my last post for the Less is More Challenge, you know it’s about using the items from our “Bits” box, and it turns out I had a whole panel done ( for THIS card) with a stencil of STAMPlorations. What better way to participate in the challenge of STAMPlorations, which celebrates its 5th anniversary ! And I chose to copy my Uniko teammate, Julie Beech from Crafted by Jules. I’m sure you already know her, otherwise I invite you to discover her wonderful creations and leave her a nice comment !

Julie’s card

et voici ma carte…/ and here is my card…

Je me suis inspirée :

– du design

– des couleurs

– et du sentiment

I focused on :

– the design

– the colours

– and the sentiment

On a double white card I adhered part of the stencilled panel. On a white cardstock I die cut the white panel with the wave. I die cut the same wave in a pink paper and I glued it under the white one. I die cut the “happy” word in the white panel and I replaced it by the same word previously die cut in black paper. I stamped the word “Birthday” on top of it. And to finish I foam mounted this white panel over the double white card.

As I had the other part of the stencilled panel, just like Julie I made a second card.

Julie’s card

Voici ma seconde carte …/ Here is my second card…

The flower strip being made with a stencil unlike Julie who used stamps, I had to choose a rose from Uniko but I still find the result pretty.

I stamped the rose and the leaves onto white card stock with Memento ink and I coloured them with Promarkers.

The 2 white panels are foam mounted on the double card and the rose is foam mounted between the two panels.

And Voilà ! Thanks to Julie for the beautiful inspiration and thanks to the stencilled panel from my “Bits box”, these two cards were quickly done !

  1. Such a beautiful display of cards. I love the layout with the florals in the background in a strip and one bold and pretty flower that pops right up. Gorgeous design. Thank you so much for joining us on Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. xx Ankita

  2. Your cards are so contemporary and so unique. Great layouts and such beautiful colours. You’ve CASed the cards but made them your own. So creative and so very beautiful…..both of them x.

  3. Gorgeous cards Izzy. The stencil and rose stamp work so well together and I love that you used your ‘leftover’ panel too.
So happy that you were inspired by my cards to create these and join in the celebrations at STAMPlorations. 🙂
