Bonjour !
Hello !
How are you ? It’s already half March and a new challenge starts today at Less is More. This may not be everyone’s favorite because it is the famous OLC (One Layer Card) but you will see that it isn’t as “nasty” as the previous ones because it’s about using stencils !
We meet again our sponsor of the month of March who is none other than STAMPlorations and Shery joins us again as a creative guest for this last fortnight.
For my first two cards I used stencils from STAMPlorations.
1/ Happy Birthday
In this month of March, a number of challenges require green, so I used a stencil with triangles and made a rather masculine birthday card.
On a double white card I made a large stripe with some masking tape then I put the stencil on top of it and I used three shades of green.
I took off the masking tape and to add a little bit of dimension to the card, I used a die to delimit the inked stripe with stitched cross point pattern.
Finally I stamped the sentiment with black ink.
Stamp: Uniko “Simply said blocks” – Stencil: STAMPlorations “Broken Glass” – Inks: Distress “Lucky clover, Cracked pistachio, Twisted citron” – Die : MFT “Basic stitch lines.

The card concept #88 : Monochromatic green
Simply create too #136 : Use green
SSS Work it Wednesday : green
2/ Simplement Merci
As I mentioned for a previous card (see HERE), I love the combination of teal and gold color. So I took this combination to make this very simple card.
On a double white card I defined a wide stripe with masking tape, I put the stencil, I just masked one of the part of the stencil and I put the ink with a foam applicator.
Then I removed the mask on the small leaf-shaped part where I applied the Gold ink taking care to protect all around so as not to spill out.
I waited until the ink was dry and I put masking tape to make the 2 thin gold stripes. I stamped the sentiment with black ink.
Stamp: Simply Graphic “planche remerciements” – Stencil: STAMPlorations “Ethnic organic 1” – Inks: Distress Oxide “Peacock Feathers”, Tsukineko Delicata “Golden Glitz”.

3/ Celebrate today
As you already know, our former and talented teammie Sarah Gray from Funky Fossil Designs creates her own range of stencils (you can find them HERE) and I splurged on the following one (among others!).
This time I did a little bit differently, I first embossed the double white card with the stencil before coloring it. The little picture shows a better view of the embossing.
Once the stencil was put back in place, I coloured this beautiful pattern with lots of colours using mini foam applicators and Distress inks.
Finally I stamped the sentiment in black.

Time Out #105 : quote
4/ Hugs across the miles
While I was at it, I could not help but make a fourth card to do one of my favorite exercises: combine several challenges !
CAS Colours & Sketches proposes the sketch (see below) and AAA Cards wants Ombré.
I placed the stencil on a corner of the card and after having masked around, I blended the blue ink doing a gradient. I did it again on the other corner.
Then I stamped the bold sentiment also doing a gradient (I took off a little bit of ink with a cloth before stamping on the card). The other part of the sentiment has been stamped in black. Finally I used another stencil to make the small bubbles.
Update: Happy and honoured to be one of the winners at CAS Colours & Sketches!
Stamp: Uniko “Big & Bold hugs” – Stencil: SSS “Waves”, Kaisercraft “Bubbly” – Inks: Distress “Mermaid Lagoon”, Versafine “Onyx Black”.

Wow, Izzy. I’m finally here and it was worth the wait! Four amazing stencilled cards. Love those shades of green in the geometrics. The teal and gold is a gorgeous combo and I very nearly used that stencil myself! And the rainbow of gorgeousness using Sarah’s stencil is so fun. Great inspiration xx
Congrats on your win over at Catherine Pooler’s blog!
These are all wonderful, Izzy! I adore the green, graphic strip on the first card! The single, golden leaf on the second card is brilliant and has so much impact! I always enjoy rainbow colors so the third card makes me smile and the ombre waves on the fourth card look awesome and go so well with the sentiment. Love the symbolism there! A visit to your blog is always so inspiring!
Oh My! You were really on a roll this week Izzy….and all I can say is “Bravo! Les sont tous magnifique!” I struggled to make a masculine card (actually, I failed) but you made it look so effortless with your first, geometric look card. I was totally wowed by the gold ink on the second – such a small thing to do with such an enormous impact! Then you provide so much more inspiration with the embossed stencil (I broke my stencil last time I tried that) and the wonderful ombre look. Superb xx
Izzy tu as cree des cartes marveilleuses! Bises
Wow Izzy, all your stencil cards have such wonderful CAS designs and colors!! This whole post is filled with eye candy. 🙂 I love the different hues of blue and green and the small touches you’ve added to your cards look amazing -love the stitched edge in your first card and the golden details in the second card. Super work! Have a great weekend!
Well you have really shown how versatile stencils can be here, Izzy! Thank you so much for using my stencil….I love the texture of the embossing and fabulous colourful inking. It is so pretty x
Gorgeous cards Izzy! I love the teal and gold together!
OMG!!! Izzy, you are absolutely amazing! I was ready to be awed with your usual trio of cards, but then you blew my mind with a fourth! These are all so beautiful and so well thought out. Love your colour choices and the different designs, Always inspired when I come visit. Great job, teamie! xx
Completely blown away by your ingenuity and stunning creations Izzy. WOW, WOW and more! I have never used gold and teal before but that’s a winning combo and I will most definitely have to try it. I love the colours on your first card too and that’s a gorgeous stencil … I’ve got one similar and it’s always a ‘go to one’ for me! I’m swooning over the floral one using Sarah’s stencil and how you’ve explained the process makes it well worthy of trying too. Lastly beautiful blues and big hugs. Fantastic ideas and hope you’re well. Hugs xx
Four fabulous cards! I love the patterns in the various stencils you’ve used on them. I especially like how the stencil used on the “hugs across the miles” card resembles ocean waves, which seems to work well with the sentiment. 🙂 Thanks for making CC&S part of your crafting time!
So glad you joined use for CIE! The abstract green pattern is perfectly masculine and simple!
Love the different ways to use stencils, Isabelle! I love the third one most, it looks so pretty! Thanks for playing along with us at CC&S, hope you can join us more often.
Great cards and I love the ombre effect that you used on the hugs card. Thank you for joining us for this week’s CC&S challenge.
Wow, Isabelle … what a fantastic collection! A cool, graphic and stylish look with those shades-of-green triangles … and a fantastic sense of movement and flow in that gorgeous teal with the touch of glisten-y, eye catching gold, it’s beautiful! Delicious monochrome blues on your last card … such wonderful ombré blending! Your mandala is bold, texture-y and brilliantly vibrant … so crisp, fresh and colourful against all that glorious white! Thanks so much for playing along with us at our 4th birthday celebration at Time Out! Bises & hugs, Anita 🙂
A beautiful collection of cards, Izzy! I love how you were able to add so much dimension to your one layer designs and how you played with all of your lovely stencils! I love them all, but my fave is your ‘Merci’ card with that touch of gold on the leaf…so clever! Thanks so much for sharing all of the creative ways to use our stencils…I’m inspired!!!
I am always inspired when I pop in to your blog Izzy. Such fabulous cards, all so different and all so beautifully CAS. Love your colour choices and the embossing on your third card adds further interest, which is fabulous x
