Bonjour !
Hello !
Or I should better say Hello again since it is my second post for the day ! This time I’ve been inspired by 2 challenges : Less is More #320 with its Washi Tape theme and CAS on Sunday #104 with its Sentiment theme (use only a sentiment).
Voici ma carte / Here is my card :
To better suit the 2 challenges, I created the sentiment.
On a draft sheet, I wrote the sentiment with a fluorescent marker with a broad chisel nib. Then I marked the outlines with a pencil.
I flipped the paper over and I adhered it to the window (if you have a light table, it’s even better !) in order to copy the outlines on a Vellum paper.
I flipped over the Vellum and I taped the Washi Tape on it, then I fussy cut all around the outlines with scissors. I cut inside the letters with a knife.
On a double white card, I adhered the sentiment so obtained. I embellished the card by adding two stripes of Washi Tape on the top and on the bottom of the card and I scored a line under the top stripe.
And voilà ! A simple card to make. What takes the most time is to fussy cut the sentiment !

Wow, amazing fuzzy cutting, Isabelle … those gorgeous blues and greens of the washi tape are fabulous against all that crisp white … so wonderfully clean and fresh! Hugs & Bises, Anita 🙂

WOW! What an inspirational card Izzy. Perfect technique, fussy cutting – hey that is just fabulous! Beautiful choice of washi take and a brilliant one layer card. Thanks for playing at Less is More this week.
Thanks ever so much Sarah !
Well, I am totally in awe of your skills with scissors and a craft knife Izzy! My jaw dropped when I read you had fussy cut the sentiment; I was convinced it was a die cut. And that washi tape is wonderful because not only is the pattern pretty, it also has so much texture. Bravo! This card is so elegant and classy. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Less is More xx
Thank you very much Sharon for your encouraging words !
What a creative and fun idea! I can’t believe how neat your fussy cutting is, but you’ve created a sentiment that looks like it came out of a professional die! Beautifully done. I love the elegant simplicity of this card’s appearance, and the pretty washi. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More 🙂
Thanks ever so much Esther !
