Carte/Card

Amies pour la vie / Friends forever

Bonjour !

Hello !

I hope you have a good weekend ! Lately I rediscover the pleasure to “play” with my colour pencils (and yes, it seems that from a certain age one is returning to childhood !) and when I see on the various blogs all these wonderful cards only made with colouring, I wanted to try !

Voici le résultat ! Here is the result !

Not only I returned to childhood with the colouring, but also with the theme which has been inspired to me both by the challenge #234 of CASology (Youth) and by the challenge #76 of Time OUT about friends.

On drawing paper, I simply stamped the image with a very pale pink ink, then I coloured with the pencils marking the outlines with a darker colour pencil. I had this stamp set as a gift together with a magazine and its plastic holder is in colour, so I took the same colours.

To finish, I die cut the image and I adhered some adhesive foam on the back before gluing everything on the double card. As I do not have a stamp with a sentiment that suited me, then I handwritted this sentiment.

And Voilà ! I’m rather happy with the result and above all I had fun doing it ! Have a nice Sunday and see you soon here or elsewhere !

  6. Aha! I see you had your pencils out too this week! There really does seem to have been a resurgence of pencil colouring lately and it is easy to see why. The look that you get with pencil colouring is so unique. Your pencil colouring is lovely Izzy, such pretty colours and lovely shading, and an adorable stamp! Also, your handwriting is beautiful! It is something I need to get better at as now it is not possible for me to hand write my sentiments, they wouldn’t look good! Isn’t it fun going back to our childhood again :), Lisa

    1. Thank you Lisa for your sweet comment ! Yes, my pencils are out and I can’t stop using them ! 😉
About the writing, I would like to make much more better, I would not have to buy all those stamps ! 😄
      Hugs

  7. Looks great. I like to colour with pencil crayons but need to invest in a good set. I blend with odorless Gamsol.
    Your image is very pretty.
