Bonjour !
Hello !
I hope you had a lovely week-end. Here it was only rain, showers and rain ! Nothing better to stay at home and make cards !
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge theme being “Summer garden”, I immediately thought to my favorite flower.
For me, a garden is inconceivable without the hydrangeas. I love these flowers, and of course especially the blue ones !
On a Clairefontaine white double card (210g), I adhered a piece of paper Leaf bud green from Clairefontaine Force8 120g. I die cut Clairefontaine 210g white paper with Elisabeth Craft Design’s dies “Susan’s garden hydrangea” and “Garden notes hydrangea”.
With mini foam applicators, I colored each petal with Distress inks (see combo below) and then I stuck them to their base. I repeated this operation for each flower. Once everything was inked, flowers and leaves, I positioned them on the green paper in order to find the best arranging. I adhered the leaves with Multi Medium Matte from Ranger. The flowers are foam mounted.
I stamped the sentiment “happy birthday” from Penny Black (Wishes) with Versafine Onyx Black ink and I embossed it with clear powder. I mounted this sentiment on a piece of paper inked with Distress Picked Raspberry ink. I only added few petals to finalize the card. Et voilà, this is my ideal garden !
Combos :
Salty Ocean + Blueprint Sketch
Tumbled Glass + Shaded Lilac
Picked Raspberry + Wilted Violet
Dusty Concord + Picked Raspberry + Chipped Sapphire
Twisted Citron + Mowed Lawn

I love, love, love your gorgeous flowers! Beautiful card! Thanks for playing along with us at Seize the Birthday!
You have made a lovely garden petal by petal. A beautiful flower garden that I loved at first sight. I love the colors of the flowers, they remind me of my grandmothers flowers in her garden. A great memory. Thanks so much for playing with us this week at Seize the Birthday. Hope to see you again.

Dear Ladies, thank you very much for your lovely comments !
I would love to invite you in my summer garden but unfortunately, lately, you would have to wear your rain boots !! May be it is why I had this card in mind : to compensate !
Oh wow! this is soo pretty Izzy, love the vibrant colours. Hydrangeas are one of my favourite flowers 🙂
