Addicted to Stamps and More #396 – Make your Mark

Bonjour !

Après un long break de six mois, les défis d’Addicted to Stamps and More reviennent avec cependant de petits changements : les défis sont désormais bimensuels et les thèmes changent un peu.

Hello !

After a six months long break, the challenges of Addicted to Stamps and More return with, however, small changes: challenges are now fortnightly and the themes change a bit.

For this first challenge of the year, we remain with a theme that everybody knows : Make your Mark. For this challenge, you can create anything you like as long as you use something to make your mark such as pencils, pens, markers, chalks, crayons, paints, stains, inks … whatever takes your fancy.

Voici ma carte / Here is my card

For Christmas I received a beautiful box of Prismacolor pencils and I wanted to try these pencils on black paper. Well, I don’t know if it is me because I’m not yet used to these pencils (very tender unlike the Polychromos that I usually use) but I was not satisfied so I took my Polychromos back. It doesn’t matter, I will try again on white paper.

I stamped the flowers directly on the double black card then I heat embossed them with clear powder. I coloured them with colour pencils.

To finish I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment with silver powder.

And Voilà for me !  And do not forget to see the wonderful creations of my “teamies” on the main blog HERE and on their blog where you can leave them a lovely comment ! 😉

Thank you for your visit and feel free to leave me a comment, I am always delighted to hear from you.

  1. Your card is gorgeous, Izzy! It looks so professional! I’m always impressed with colored pencils on black card (or even on white card) because I can’t seem to get good results with them unless they are watercolor pencils. Thank you for the inspiration and for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Take care and keep safe! Hugs, Darnell

  2. A beautiful card! I love the pencil colouring on black. Prismacolor Pencils do seem to break a lot – it can be a little frustrating. 😉 Glad you had your Polychromos so you could work your magic on this gorgeous card!

  3. Happy New Year Izzy and I hope you had a good Christmas. It’s so good to see your beautiful creations again and this is no exception. This is such a striking and elegant card and the pencil colouring is gorgeous. Amazing to get such vibrant colours on a black card!
    Stay safe
    Hugs
    Carol x

  4. Hello… Thanks for sharing your lovely card with Moving Along with the Times; it fits perfectly with our ‘New’ challenge theme. Beautiful colouring on to black card stock. Hope you can join us next month for our new challenge. Diane Louise (Team Leader) xx
