Less is More #420 – OLC

Bonjour !

Hello !

Last challenge of May at Less is More with the theme that divides a lot of people : One Layer Card (OLC).

We may not have a sponsor for this challenge, but we are very happy to welcome Jen Mitchell our talented guest designer and March’s winner. Do go and visit her blog and leave her a lovely comment.

Voici mes cartes / Here are my cards

1/ Wish big !

For this first card, I used a stamp from Uniko absolutely perfect for this theme.

As I still had on my desk the inks used to make THIS card, I simply randomly stamped the dotted circle in each of the colors. Then to add even more dots, I used other small stamps from other sets from Uniko.

Pour finir, j’ai tamponné le sentiment.

To finish, I stamped the sentiment.

Stamp : Uniko “Background builders – round in circles”, “Kindness blooms”, “Jingle Bells”, “Background builders – vines” & “Birthday wishes” (sentiment) – Inks : Distress “Chipped sapphire, Blueprint sketch, Mermaid lagoon, Cracked pistachio”.
Challenge :
AAA Cards CAS Game #165 – Up to one third + optional twist A repeating image

2/ Have a whale of a day !

I went on with the same inks but this time I used a stencil for the background and colour pencils to colour this adorable narwhal.

I first stamped the narwhal then I masked it to be able to blend the inks through the stencil. I removed the mask then I coloured the image.

Pour finir j’ai tamponné le sentiment.

To finish I stamped the sentiment.

Stamp : Funky Fossil Designs “Whale of a time” – Inks : Distress “Chipped sapphire, Blueprint sketch, Mermaid lagoon, Cracked pistachio” – Stencil : Kaisercraft “Bubbly” – Pencils :  Faber-Castell Polychromos “#110, 134, 141, 147, 161, 162, 247”.

3/ Did I froget something ?

For this last card, I changed the colours and I keep my design very CAS with this adorable digital image and this pun sentiment.

I printed the image and the sentiment on a white card stock and I took care of bending it in half to make a double card.

Then I simply coloured the frog with colour pencils.

Digital image : Kitty Bee Designs “Oh I forgot froggie” – Pencils :  Faber-Castell Polychromos “#166, 171, 205, 230”.
