Un rapide et court post pour vous présenter la carte faite pour le défi de AAA Cards March FB Lottery dont je suis l’hôtesse. J’ai choisi pour thème “Fleurs de printemps”.

A quick and short post to show you the card I made for the AAA Cards March FB Lottery for which I’m the host. The theme I chose is “Spring blooms”.
Pour l’occasion j’ai choisi de jolies petites fleurs de cerisier tout comme celles du cerisier du voisin que je vois de la fenêtre de mon atelier.
For the occasion I chose some pretty little cherry blossoms just as the one of my neighbour’s cherry tree that I can see from my scrap room.
Sur une feuille de bristol j’ai tamponné avec de l’encre Altenew la première fleur de cerisier. Comme l’encre Altenew réagit avec l’eau, avec un pinceau et de l’eau, j’ai utilisé l’encre des contours pour colorer l’intérieur des fleurs.
On a bristol paper I stamped the first cherry blossom with Altenew ink. As the Altenew ink reacts with water, with a brush and water I used the ink of the outlines to colour the inside of the flower.
À l’aide de masques j’ai tamponné le reste de la composition que j’ai ensuite découpé à la main.
Using masks I stamped the rest of the composition which I then fussy cut.
Comme j’en ai marre de voir du ciel gris et pluvieux, j’ai opté pour un ciel bien bleu avec la technique smooshing que j’ai appliqué directement sur la carte de base.
As I am tired of seeing grey and rainy skies, I opted for a very blue sky with the smooshing technique which I directly applied to the card base.
Pour finir j’ai collé la composition floral avec des carrés de mousse adhésive et j’ai tamponné le sentiment.
To finish I foam mounted the floral composition and I stamped the sentiment.

Pretty card! Thanks for joining us at Happy Little Stampers Watercolor Challenge.
Its always so funny to hear of people seeing cherry blossoms etc when we are heading into Autumn in New Zealand. Although Summer seems to be never-ending this year as we haven’t had any rain yet and its still as hot as in the middle of Summer. Good old global warming!! Just love how you did that smooshing, especially how its like little dots around the outside. And your soft painting of the flowers is beautiful. Always wonderful to see your designs at The Flower Challenge!!
Izzy, your flowers are so beautifully colored and really stand out against that amazing blue watercolor splash.
