Carte/Card

Create a Smile – Bonjour

Bonjour !

Hello !

And one more challenges combo as I love them ! Today I combined the challenges of AAA Cards with a simple and quick card to do, CASology in the design and Colour Throwdown with the colours.

Voici la carte que j’ai faite en…/Here is the card I made within…

Update : I’m thrilled and honoured to be one of the honourable mentions over at CASology and to be one of the top three at AAA Cards.

No matter to say that I gathered all the supplies before starting the stopwatch off.

First I dry embossed the double white card with a die, a burst of little circles.

Then I stamped the image with Versamark and I white heat embossed it.

I coloured this pretty succulent in its pot with colour pencils. And to finish, I stamped the sentiment on a white card stock scrap, I fussy cut it and I glued it on the card with foam squares.

Et voilà ! A very simple card in less than 8 minutes ! This is the kind of card to consider for the end of year cards ! Needless to say that it took me longer to write this post than to make the card ! 😄

Comme toujours, merci d’être venu me voir et n’hésitez pas à me laisser un commentaire, je suis toujours ravie de vous lire. À très bientôt ! 😉

  1. I absolutely adore this card! It’s perfection Izzy! The dry embossed detail with the beautiful pencil work and that pop of black is the perfect balance. I have never tried to do a timed card. I would be hopeless unless the parameters were “make a card in an hour” 😂😂. I need to sort out a way of easily saving the many of your posts that inspire me! This is yet another one. Thank you Izzy! And I just remembered there is a hashtag on Instagram called #20minutecard (or similar I don’t recall the exact wording 🙈 but it’s very inpsiring.

  2. I love how you used the burst die here, Isabelle, and your colouring on the succulent is gorgeous! Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!

  3. 7 minutes – that’s super impressive and speedy! just shows an amazing card doesn’t have to take for ever! Thanks so much for playing at AAA Cards, hope to see you joining in with future challenges too.

  4. A wonderful idea to use the cutting die as embossing folder. This gives a delicate background.
