Bonjour !
Hello !
Oh lala, what a fun I had making these two cards ! Have you seen all the beautiful challenges currently underway ? It’s a delight. Here are the challenges that inspired me: The starting point comes from the challenge of Darnell and her team Twofer card Challenge (did you see that now we can even play with stencils !) and their theme “Wreath”, then, the fabulous inspirational picture from Time OUT (here also there was a change with a beautiful new look of the site, I love !), the beautiful colors from Color Throwdown, the theme from Create a Smile (where these lovely stamps come from !) for my second card and finally the use of an embossing folder for the challenge of CAS Mix Up !
Et voici mes deux cartes / And here are my two cards
1/ Noel
In this period, when “wreath” is mentioned, it reminds me of the pretty Christmas wreaths, and moreover, we never have too many cards for the end of the year! So neither one nor two, I took out a new set of stamps from Create a Smile with this lovely simple wreath.
First I stamped the berries in red, I masked them with post-it notes and I stamped the wreath in two shades of green. Finally I fussy cut it.
I embossed the front of a double grey card with an embossing folder, it reminds me the grey blanket on the Time Out picture. The I cut a white square on which I adhered a Vellum paper printed with pretty golden tiny circles. This paper reminded me the electric garland behind the veiling and I finally glued the wreath on top of it.
Stamps : Create a Smile “Magical Christmas time″ – Die : Simply Graphic “Cadre noël négatif” – Embossing folder : We R Memory Keepers “Wave” – Inks : Altenew “Ruby red, Volcano lake, Emeral”.

I immediately fell in love with the beautiful color combo Color Throwdown, so I used it for this second card. I die cut a circle , I stamped and white heat embossed the wreath and I used the technique of “Smooshing” to color this circle.
The theme of Create a Smile being “Giving thanks”, I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment “Heartfelt thanks” on a red stripe of paper. To illustrate this sentiment, I used small stamps from the set “Secret ingredient” to make the bowl full of hearts. The bold is embossed with silver powder and coloured with Promarkers. The small hearts are first stamped in red then clear heat embossed.
To add a bit more of silver colour, I die cut two heart branches in a silver paper. To finish, I adhered everything on a double white card.
Stamps : Create a Smile “Magical Christmas time″ & “Secret ingredient” – Die : Simply Graphic “Branches coeurs”, SSS “Stitched circles” – Promarkers : “Turquoise, Poppy red” – Inks : Distress Oxide “Peacock feather”, CP “Rockin’ red”.

Awesome set of cards! Love the color choice and die-cut sentiment on Noel card. Thank you for sharing your card with us at ATSM!
I can definitely see where you have taken your inspiration from the photo – I love that grey embossed background (that pattern is gorgeous!) – and the subtle shine of the gold dots on the vellum is such a wonderful detail! Thanks so much for taking the TIME OUT to play along with us! Jill

You have made two amazing wreath cards with this lovely colour combination, Izzy! Love the Christmas card with the noel and sweet wreath with red berries. The embossed dark gray background adds some lovely dimension and texture. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up.
Your second card is beautiful with your smooshed circle with white heat embossed wreath. Wonderful collage of die-cuts to create a really beautiful giving thanks card.
Both cards are beautiful and the colour combination is stunning. Very creative in how you used the wreath theme on both of the cards. Love the dimension from the embossing folder on your first beautiful card and great fussy cutting. Thank you for adding your amazing card to the CAS mix up challenge X
Truly inspired Izzy. I adore your Time Out card. Love the way you used the grey and what a fab design on the embossing folder. This works so well with the fresh greens and red you have used for the wreath-makes them pop!
Two great ways to use this wreath, Izzy! Love the Christmas wreath and how the embossed vellum plays off the embossed gray background! The white wreath on the blue with the touches of red and silver is so pretty! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
I love all the thought and detail that you put into these two gorgeous cards, Izzy! Your Noel Christmas card is the epitome of dimension with that awesome background e/f and the layers of gold-striped vellum, beautiful wreath, and bold sentiment! The colors are favorite Christmastime colors of mine, too! And your heartfelt thanks card is so imaginative! I love that you put a sweet bowl of hearts in the center of your encircled wreath and how the addition of the silver branches takes it up a notch! Fabulous!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #11! Hugs, Darnell
I have to say that this color combination is one of my most favorites – it’s so happy! Your Christmas card is lovely, and I do love the gray embossed panel behind it. That vellum paper is amazing, too!!! Such a sweet thank you card, as well. Love the little bowl of hearts and the branch. Delightful cards. Thanks for joining us at the Twofer Challenge.
