Less is More Week #332 : OLC Sweet Things

Bonjour !

Hello !

I hope you’re doing well ! And we are back with a new challenge at Less is More, and guess what…..it is the One Layer Card week and here is the cue card :

J’ai 3 cartes vraiment faciles et rapides à faire à partager avec vous. / I have 3 really quick and easy cards, to share with you.

1/ You’re so sweet !

On a double white card I embossed the circle with a die. I stamped the sentiment and the piggy with Versafine ink and I heat embossed them with clear powder. Then I masked the pig as well as all the outer outlines of the circle in order to make the decor (sky and grass) with a sponge. I put off the masks and I coloured the image. To finish, I put some Glossy Accent on the two cherries.

Stamp: MFT “Hog heaven”, Adam Pescott stamp “You’re so sweet” (sentiment) – Inks: Distress “Tumble Glass, Twisted Citron” – Markers: Promarker “Leaf green”, Fabrico “Bubble Gum, Maize, Sand, Apricot & Poppy” – Die: SSS “Stitched Circles”.

Penny Black and More June Challenge : Anything goes

2/ Thanks a bunch / Merci beaucoup

On a double white card I embossed the line with a die. I stamped the candy several times after having coloured the stamp with Emboss pens and I heat embossed with clear powder. Then to finish, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine ink and I also heat embossed. Easy, no ?

Stamp:  from a craft magasine by Beth Gunnell “Sweet treats”, Happy Little Stamper “Simply said”(sentiment) – Inks: Versafine “Onyx Black” – Markers: Tsukineko Emboss Dual Pen “#1, #5, #38, #2, #32, #12, #35, #33, #34, #10” – Die: MFT “Basic stitched lines”.

CAS on Sunday #109 : Use a repetition image

A little bit of sweetness with these cupcakes ! Once again, really easy to do ! I stamped the foreground cupcake first and I heat embossed it. I stamped it another time on a post-it note to make a mask with it. Then I stamped and heat embossed the two other cupcakes. I coloured them with colour pencils. I drew the line with an Emboss pen and I heat embossed. I stamped the sentiment by overlapping the line and I heat embossed it. To finish, I added some shimmer with a Wink of Stella brush on the cupcakes and a bit of Glossy Accent on the ornaments. And that’s it !

Stamp:  from a craft magasine by Sally Moret “Hello cupcakes”, Simply Graphic “planche un petit coucou”(sentiment) – Inks: Versafine “Onyx Black” – Pencils: Faber-Castell Polychromos “#168, #170, #104, #105, #106, #107, #108, #115, #123, #125, #128, #129, #130, #132, #219, #230, #232” – Markers: Tsukineko Emboss dual Pen “Real black” – Embellishment: Wink of Stella & Glossy Accent.

  2. Three awesome sweet cards, Izzy! I’m pretty sure I gained 10 pounds scrolling down and licking the monitor as each delicious card went by, lol!! I especially love that fabulous piglet in the double circle!! Have a great weekend!! Hugs, Darnell

  3. Sorry I’m so late this week, Izzy. Wow, what a wonderful trio. Such great attention to detail on your piggy card with the embossing, masking, blending and glossy details. Love how you’ve separated your sweets with the diagonal stitched border, and those cupcakes are so bold and yummy! Awesome work xx

  4. All three are definitely sweet! Love that little piggy with the embossed frame, he is adorable! And the different coloured sweets make me want to run to the shop and get some. I always love how you add embossing with your dies, it’s such a small detail but always looks great. And then the cupcakes… well what is not to love! Thank you for adding a few extra pounds to my already rounded hips!! And as always, thanks you for inspiring 😊, Lisa xx

  5. Dear Isabell!
I really love the embossed circle on your first card and the super fun image ;o) Also love how you managed to create such wonderful CAS cards – I always feel obligated to add more and more and sometimes less is better! Thank you for sharing your lovely cards

  6. Trois jolies cartes gourmandes !!!
    Bises.

  7. These are simply wonderful! I love your use of dies in the first two cards, it adds a lot of interest to the designs. All the colors you used are so yummy, summery and fun! Great job with all of these!

  8. Now I feel so hungry Izzy reading this post and looking at all the yummy sweet things you’ve included. That piggy is a cutie and the way he’s standing so proudly with his little cake is adorable. Beautiful detail with your embossed dies which adds great detail to a one layer card. Those wrapped sweeties are fabulous with their shiny wrappers. Then those cupcakes …. hmmmm! Too good to eat! Have a great week. x

  9. All 3 super sweet cards, Izzy! I need to do more embossing with my dies. It’s such a great technique for OLCs. Absolutely love that adorable pig. I have that set too. Love how colourful your second card is. And you did a great job masking and colouring on your 3rd. Love them! Enjoy your weekend.

  10. These are all fabulous and full of sweetness! You are a master of embossing dies on a one layer card Izzy because the impressions are always so deep and crisp without cutting into the card. The piggy is so charming and your masking is a dream on that card. The fun sweetie wrappers are vibrant and really cheerful on the second and your cupcakes look good enough to eat! Fab inspiration xx

  11. Oooh, Izzy <3 I always love your use of colour and these are gorgeous examples yet again! So bright, fun and totally charming! The piggy is adorable and the embossed circle perfectly frames the scene. Great use of masking too! Your sweeties card is so fun and I love how you've used the diagonal stitch line to separate the imagery from the sentiment. And finally those cupcakes… mmmmm! They look edible! The shimmer is a great touch. Lovely cards! Have a fantastic weekend x
