Carte/Card

Hello card with washi tape

Bonjour !

Hello !

I hope you are all doing well ! Today I come back with my favourite game : challenge mixing ! For this card I’ve been inspired by Just Us Girls Challenge #390 and by Less is More challenge #325 !

J’ai repris les couleurs et le mélange de motifs de la photo d’inspiration de Just Us Girls (<- ci-contre) et je les ai associés au thème Stripe (rayures) de Less is More !

I picked up the colors and the mix of patterns from the inspirational photo of Just Us Girls (<- opposite) and associated them with the theme Stripe of Less is More!

While watching the Washi tapes, I had the idea of making a card with them. Very bright colors in the same tones as those of the photo and in addition full of stripes !

Voici ma carte ! Here is my card !

As easy as can be ! I took 3 tapes whose colors married well together and I adhered the strips one above the other at first and next to each other in a second time. Until then it’s not too hard! And to even simplify, I did not even take care to cut them with scissors, I voluntarily tore them!

All that remained was to cut out the sentiment with a die several times to give dimension once glued together.

Et voilà ! L’affaire est dans le sac ! Facile, non ? Et rapide !

And Voilà ! It’s in the bag ! Easy, no ? And quick !

Thank you for your visit and feel free to leave me a comment, I am always delighted to hear from you. Have a nice week and see you soon I hope ! 😀

  1. Genius idea, Izzy! Love that you tore your washi instead of cutting, it adds to fun feel of this card. I really must use my washi more!
Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x

  2. Brilliant! You’ve done it again Izzy – making the cleverest card with supplies we all have in our craft areas. That washi exudes energy and funkiness. I really love how you added tape over the top of each other so that the underneath patterns show through. Gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Less is More xx

  3. I love this idea, Izzy – it creates a fun and fresh design! The washi that you have used picks up on the colours in the inspiration photo perfectly and is a clever way of incorporating stripes. It is great to see you at Less is More 🙂

  4. Bold, fun and beautiful Izzy. A fantastic take on our stripe challenge and love your bold die-cut sentiment against all those cheery vibrant colours of washi tape. A fantastic idea and thanks for playing along at Less is More this week.

  5. You make it look easy Izzy. I would really struggle with this card. You have picked your tapes well – they go great together, and of course, the design is perfect. The card is really gorgeous! I love seeing what you come up with for your challenges, you are always so creative. And the black sentiment on the top is the perfect finishing touch 🙂

  6. How fabulous Izzy! Those washi stripes are gorgeous, so bold and vibrant! They really highlight the sentiment perfectly and give a brilliant ‘modern art’ look. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More 🙂
