Bonjour !
Hello !
I don’t know for you, but recently the spring colours inspire me and make me want to make lots of cards! For once it’s not blue, let’s enjoy it! 😄 Besides, there are plenty of birthdays to come and I take the opportunity to get ahead, we always need birthday cards on hand, right?
The current different challenges also helped me a lot ! I used :
- The cue word “Curve” of the latest challenge #323 from Less is More with the embossing, the shape of the stamps and the sentiment which follows the curve.
- The colours inspired by the challenge #87 from AAA cards
- The technique of the CAS challenge from Happy Little Stampers for April : Blend
- The cue word “Make your mark” of the challenge #237 from Addicted to Stamp and More with the use of a die to emboss.
First I used the die to emboss the lower part of the card and then I stamped and embossed the sentiment while following the curve above. I then stamped the image (with different masks) with Versamark ink and I heat embossed with clear powder. With small foam applicators I blended the different Distress inks to give a gradient of colours on the 2 ranunculus and the large stem of leaves. For the smaller flowers and leaves I made the gradient with colour pencils not to overflow.
And Voilà ! I love the airiness of this card that smells good spring! I ended up loving more and more doing OLC, before, for me, they were synonymous of haunting !

Delicious colours and so artistically applied. Love it! Thanks for playing at AAA Cards.
Thank you Jane !
What a beautiful card Izzy! I have this stamp set and wouldn’t have thought to arrange it at all in this way – it is so pretty the way it follows the curve of the embossed die. The softness of the flowers is just perfect, really it’s stunning! The colours you have chosen are perfect for spring and for the flower. I never use foam applicators, I worry that I am too heavy handed for them, but you have applied the ink perfectly where you have used them. You are always so inspiring, I love to see your cards, thank you so much! Have a wonderful Easter, hugs, Lisa xx
Thanks so much Lisa, you make me blush ! 😊
Your card is so pretty Izzy. I love the embossed curve…I never think to use my dies to emboss, and the colours you have used are so bright and cheery. Love it!

Loving the colours you’ve chosen, Izzy! Those bright yellows and oranges are so spring-like and vibrant and a real joy to look at. The curved embossed line is a great touch, grounding the image and letting the sentiment finish the card perfectly. Fantastic! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More 🙂
