Bonjour !
Hello!
As I didn’t have inspiration last week, this weekend I went on the net to open my chakras! And it’s on Jennifer Mc Guire‘s blog that I found the inspiration.
Voici mes cartes/ Here are my cards :
Carte 1 / card 1:
Carte 2 / card 2 :
What I love in this technique of “split colouring” is that it enables to make two cards at the same time. Again I pay tribute to the MISTI ! Thanks to it, I’ve been able to stamp at the same place on the two cards. Useless to say that I used a lot of masks to make this image.
On the blue paper I stamped with Versamark and I heat embossed with clear powder.
On the white paper I stamped with Versafine blue ink and I heat embossed with clear powder. Then I coloured the image with colour pencils.
The sentiments are stamped on a dark blue paper with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white powder for one and for the other one with silver powder. To change a little bit, I die cut the word Hello in a silver paper.
For the assembly, I cut the two images at the same place and I glued the different parts on a double card. And voilà ! We never have enough birthday cards for our friends or our family !

Fabulous way to spotlight. Both cards are sooooooooo lovely. Thanks for sharing them with us at STAMPlorations this month.
Thank you ever so much Ina !
Yes, I saw this technique too and want to try it! But I think a stamp positioner would really help, so I am waiting for mine to arrive … Absolutely love your interpretation of this technique! Both cards are fabulous!
Thank you so much Susanne ! For sure the stamp positioner is not only a great help but you will see when you try it once it becomes essential !xx
I watched this video of Jennifer’s – she is always so good to go to for inspiration. So many ideas! I loved this technique of hers, but you have really made it your own. I like that you have used the blue outline and cardstock – it looks so pretty! And another gorgeous floral stamp that you are making me want to buy! And isn’t it great to get 2 cards out of one “effort”. Love them both :), Hugs, Lisa x
Thank you Lisa, you’re so kind !
Such pretty cards here Isabelle! yes I was inspired by Jennifer too when I saw her cards. I love the colour combo you used and the clever pencil work too. Thank you so much for sharing with us over at ‘The Flower Challenge’ and we hope to see you again soon 😉 Viv DT xx

Such a clever idea. Love how you’ve made the two cards. Gorgeous colouring and the blue inked flowers works so well to colour in. Love how you’ve stmaped and then embossed in clear. Gorgeous cards, so creative and thank you for the inspiration x
Thanks ever so much Mac for your lovely comment !
These are fantastic. It never occurred to me to use spotlighting on colored paper rather than white–so cool! Thanks for joining us at Stamplorations CAS!
