Carte pochette pour carte cadeau / Gift card pocket card (I)

img_3640

Bonjour !

Hello !

A one quick post before the Sunday Christmas market! Today it is not an ordinary card since it contains a “small pocket” to slip a gift card. This card, I owe it to Yana Smakula (I strongly suggest you to go and see her wonderful site if you do not know yet!) That shows us how to make a gift card pocket card. And as I had just received my order from Uniko (Awesome! I love it!), I immediately wanted to try both the card and my new stamps!

For this card, I used the “Emboss Resist” method. On a sheet of white paper, I stamped with Versamark ink and then I heat embossed with lightly silvered and shiny powder. Then I applied slightly Versa Magic chalk as well as a few touches with a brush of a darker chalk.

With a die I made a notch on the side, which allows for easier grasping of the gift card. On the base card, I marked with a pencil the location of the gift card, then I stuck foam all around in order to adhere the stamped image over it. img_3643

I stamped the sentiment, its outlines and the two small branches on a white paper, and I heat embossed with silver powder. Then I fussy cut. On the back I glued the adhesive foam leaving a space to pass the ribbon. Then I stuck the whole thing on the front of the card.

And since I found this card too pretty, I multiplied the concept in different colors.

On the other hand, for this batch of 7 cards, I used the technique of Yana, that is to say: I stamped the Versamark ink design on colored paper and I heat embossed with clear powder. Then I stamped over the other patterns, always with Versamark ink, but I heat embossed with white powder. I find this technique also very pretty!

And Voilà ! A nice gift card pocket card, easy to make and that makes the effect! Don’t you think so ?
