Carte/Card

K-Kingdom – Faon / Fawn

Bonjour !

Hello !

It’s already mid-week and above all it’s end of September ! Ahhhhh….time is flying, I cannot manage to do all what I would like ! And you ?

Well fortunately, there is always time to make a card ! Today 2 challenges inspired me to make this card. On the one hand CASology challenge (wk 217 : CUTE) and on the other hand Less is More challenge (wk 295 : THREAD).

I keep seeing beautiful cards with too cute animals on every blog, and it made me want to do, too, a very cute card ! So I opened my drawer of stamps and I found this pretty yet never used stamp (NBUS. A wink for you Darnell !). This little fawn isn’t it lovely?

On a white double card I used the Die impression technique, technique that I’ve seen on the wonderful blog of Jennifer Mc Guire. This technique uses a cutting die for embossing and not to cut. So I made the circle with this technique.

I then stamped this cute little fawn (well for me it’s a cute little doe) with black ink Versafine and I colored with PROMARKERS. Then finally I stamped the sentiment (“Smile”) on a white piece of paper, I put the pink thread below which is reminiscent of the small scarf and I placed the whole part on the card with adhesive foam.

And Voilà ! I’m finally glad with the result, and in addition I was able to try Jennifer’s technique and I like it !

Merci pour votre visite et vos commentaires me font toujours plaisir. À très bientôt j’espère !

  1. I absolutely love this! Using the die to emboss has given such a stylish touch to the card and perfectly frames the cute stamping. The thread behind the sentiment works so well and as you say it really brings out the colour of the scarf and mirrors the stamping. Super card! Thanks so much for playing with us at Less is More 🙂

  2. Such a pretty card Izzy. You have coloured the image perfectly and framing it with the die impression is really effective. The pop of colour in the thread behind the sentiment is such a lovely finishing touch. Thank you so much for joining us at Less is More.
    Sharon xx
