Masking + Distress Ink Watercoloring

IMG_3050

Bonjour !

Hello !

I hope you had a wonderful Week-End and that it has been productive in your creations. Personally I did not do anything for lack of inspiration !

So today I had a look at the different challenges in progress and fortunately inspiration is back !

To do this card, I used 2 methods. The masking method which consists in hiding one part of the card in order to put color without staining this part.

The second method is to make Distress ink (Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron et Spiced Marmalade) watercoloring. For this method I suggest you to go and see the Yana Smakula’s wonderful website where she explains very well how to do. You will have the occasion to see gorgeous cards !

After watercoloring with the Distress inks, and after drying them with the heat gun, I took off the post-it masking tape. With the MISTI tool (the most incredible stamp tool !) I stamped the “Joyeux anniversaire” sentiment from Artemio (Textes manuscripts) with Versafine Onyx Black ink and I heat embossed it with clear powder.

For the corner of the card, I used the Memory Box Madera corner Die. I stuck a gold sheet of paper onto a Clairefontaine cardstock (210g) and I die cut the two corners with the Die.

Little Things from Lucy’s Cards.

I adhered a piece of foam to the back of the watercoloring and then I adhered the whole part onto a gold double card from Clairefontaine (210g). Then to finish the card I scattered a few golden sequins from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards.

Voilà c’est tout pour aujourd’hui ! Bonne soirée et à bientôt !

That’s all for today ! Have a good evening and see you soon !
