Feeding the Forest Animals Day

Voici ma carte / Here is my card

Pour changer (😜), j’ai utilisé des “nouveaux” tampons d’Anita Jeram pour illustrer ce défi et pour cette première carte c’est le renard que j’ai choisi.

To change a bit (😜), I used NBUS stamps from Anita Jeram to illustrate this challenge and for this first card, I chose the fox.

Pour que la scène soit un peu plus réelle, j’ai créer un arrière plan. Sur du papier blanc, j’ai utilisé la technique de 2ème génération d’encrage pour faire la forêt de sapins. En commençant par les sapins du haut, j’ai utilisé une encre vert clair que j’ai appliqué sur mon tampon, mais avant de tamponner sur mon papier blanc, j’ai tamponné une première fois sur une feuille de brouillon. Cela permet d’enlever une couche d’encre et lorsque j’ai tamponné une seconde fois sur mon papier blanc mais sans rajouter d’encre, le sapin est beaucoup plus clair.

To make the scene a little more real, I created a background. On white card stock, I used the second generation stamping technique to make the fir forest. Starting by the first top row of firs, I used a soft green ink that I applied on my stamp, but before stamping on my white card stock, I stamped first on a draft sheet. It enables to remove the first layer of ink and then when I stamped back a second time on my white card stock without inking back the stamp, the fir is much softer.

J’ai répété l’opération pour les rangées du bas avec de l’encre verte un peu plus foncée.

I repeated the operation for the bottom rows with a darker green ink.

Sur une autre feuille blanche, j’ai tamponné le sapin avec le renard endormi, je l’ai coloré avec des crayons de couleur puis j’ai découpé à la main.

On another white card stock, I stamped the fir with the sleeping fox, I coloured it with coloured pencils then I fussy cut the image.

Sur une double carte blanche, j’ai collé la forêt de sapins puis après avoir tamponné le sentiment, j’ai collé l’image avec de la mousse adhésive.

On a double white card, I flat adhered the fir forest. After having stamped the sentiment, I foam mounted the image.

A ce stade je trouvais qu’il manquait un renard pour bien illustrer le défi. En cherchant dans mes autres tampons d’Anita Jeram, j’ai trouvé un autre renard. Après quelques manipulations de masquage, j’ai réussi à le tamponner tout seul, le colorier et le découper à la main.

At this point I felt like I was missing a fox to illustrate the challenge properly. While searching through my other Anita Jeram stamps, I found another fox. After a few masking tricks, I managed to stamp it all by itself, colour it and fussy cut it.

Pour finir, j’ai collé ce petit renard sur la carte avec de la mousse adhésive et avec un crayon j’ai rajouté les ombres.

To finish, I foam mounted this adorable fox on the card and with a coloured pencil I added the shadows.
