Squirrel Appreciation Day

Voici ma carte / Here is my card

J’avais gagné il y a longtemps déjà un bon d’achat chez Impression Obsession et j’ai acheté entre autre cette double matrice en pensant à mon cher et tendre qui adore les écureuils. Ce défi est l’occasion idéale de l’utiliser enfin !

I had won a long time ago a gift card to spend at Impression Obsession and among other things, I bought this double die, thinking of my hubby who loves squirrels. This challenge is the perfect opportunity to finally use it !

J’ai découpé trois carrés de tailles différentes dans du papier blanc. Sur le plus grand j’ai fait le ciel enneigé avec un mélange d’encre Distress Oxide et de la poudre à embosser blanche qui gonfle.

I cut three squares with different sizes in white card stock. On the biggest one I made the snowy sky by blending Distress Oxide inks and with fluffy white embossing powder.

Sur le second carré j’ai découpé les arbres avec une des deux matrices du set. Je les ai colorés avec un crayon de couleur puis j’ai fait la neige avec de la poudre à embosser gonflante et du Flower Soft blanc.

On the second square, I die cut the trees with one of the two dies included in the set. I coloured them with a coloured pencil then I made the snow with white fluffy embossing powder and with white Flower Soft.

Enfin, sur le dernier carré j’ai découpé la branche avec l’écureuil. Une fois encore, j’ai coloré l’arbre et l’écureuil avec des crayons de couleur puis j’ai collé un peu de Flower Soft.

Finally, on the last square I die cut the branch with the squirrel. Once again I coloured the tree and the squirrel with coloured pencils and then I glued on some Flower Soft.

Pour finir j’ai tamponné le sentiment avec de l’encre argentée puis j’ai superposé les 3 carrés sur la double carte en les collants avec de la mousse adhésive.

To finish, I stamped the sentiment with silver ink then I superimposed the 3 squares on the double card by foam mounting them.
