HLS & Taylored Expressions – La vie est belle

Bonjour !

Hello !

Today I played with alcohol inks….one thing is sure is that I still have a lot to learn ! But we must start one day to understand how these inks react and as I do not like to throw, I kept some of my tests to make this card.

Update : I’m thrilled and honoured to be one of the favourites over at CAS on Friday !

My goal was to make a cloudy blue sky … so yes, with a lot of imagination we can say that in this blending of blues, we distinguish forms that can make you think of clouds ! 😜

That is why I added these lovely swirly clouds to show that it is a sky and not an aquatic background.

For the clouds, I used the negative parts of the die cuts and I fussy cut all around to obtain these pretty thin clouds.

For the butterfly, I stamped the image with Versamark on Vellum and I white heat embossed. I used the matching die to cut it.

I adhered the blue stripe over the double white card, then I glued the clouds so that they overlap both the stripe and the card. I stamped the sentiment in blue then I adhered the butterfly with a Glue Dot.

Even if the result with alcohol inks is far from what I had in mind, I like the card. And you ?
