Less is More Week #335 – Country flag

Bonjour !

Quoi ?!

Hello !

What?! It’s Saturday again ? Moreover, it’s the first day of July, which means that it is the colour challenge at Less is More and this week we would like you to use the colours of your country flag in your creations !

And our sponsor for July is Happy Little Stampers.

This week again, I propose you three cards.

1/ C’est ta journée ! / It’s your day !

I made this card for my brother who was celebrating his birthday last week and who bought a small motor boat to go fishing at sea!

I die cut two big circles, one in blue and another one smaller in white. I die cut the white one in the middle with a smaller die and I parted it in two parts.

I stamped the sentiments in red on either two parts. Thanks to the MISTI and acrylic stamps, I could give them the rounded shape of the beret.

On a double white card, I glued the blue circle, then the two parts of the white circle and in the middle a small red pompon ! To finish, I added die cut red anchors to the 4 corners of the card. Welcome aboard, young sailor !

Stamp: Simply graphic “Planche anniversaire” – Inks: Brilliance “Rocket red” – Dies: spellbinders “Standard Circles large”, IO “mini nautical set” – Embellishment: Pompon from my stash

2/ Vacances à la mer / Holidays at the sea

Yes, I know, another card with a nautical theme, but it’s stronger than me, this combo of colours makes me think of it so much !

On a white double card, I stamped the sentiment and I heat embossed it.

I die cut a red rectangle. I stamped the stripes with a dark blue ink over a rectangle slightly smaller and I adhered it to the red one.

I die cut the fish and I hanged it with a twine that I fixed on the back of the rectangles. I foam mounted them on the white double card.

To finish, I cut the little red crab with a puncher and I glued it under the sentiment.

Stamp: UNIKO “background blocks : horizontal stripe”, Simply Graphic “planche mer” (sentiment) – Inks: Memento Luxe “Nautical Blue”, Brilliance “Rocket Red” – Die: Kesi’art “Poissons” – Embellishment: Twine, puncher
Challenges:

Stampinkpaper #105 : summer fun Summer for me means to go to the sea !
Shopping our Stash #309 : Lazy Summer days I will certainly not go fishing but for sure my favourite summer days is to go to the sea (and read a book on the beach !)

3/ Joyeux Anniversaire / Happy Birthday

This card, I made it for my friend who celebrates her birthday on the 14th of July ! So what better than these colors Blue, White, Red! On the other part, she loves the scandinavian designs, so I thought this set of stamps would be ideal !

To make this card, I took great inspiration from the beautiful cards of Lindsey of Doodlings. I love her style always very clean and so CAS! Thank you my friend for these fabulous inspirations! And I urge you to visit her site where you can admire all her wonders!

On a double white card, I first made a square frame with my scoring board. Then I masked the border of this frame with masking tape before stamping the flowers randomly.

I had to stamp the center of the flowers several times with white ink so that it is really white (which is not really the case!). Then I also tremendously used my heat gun to dry the ink between each layer to make sure it adheres!

To finish, on a white cardstock, I stamped the sentiment and I heat embossed it. Then I stamped the outlines of the smaller flower in red and I cut all around with scissors using the shape of the biggest flower. I foam mounted this flower in the center of the card.

Stamp: UNIKO “Uniko style”, Simply Graphic “planche anniversaire” (sentiment) – Inks: Memento Luxe “Nautical Blue”, Brilliance “Rocket Red”, Hero Arts “Unicorn”.
