Bonjour !
Hello !
I hope you had a good week and your weekend is just as good! Today I share with you a card that my sister ordered me for one of her friends for his birthday. He is a man who loves the countryside, the garden and the hens !
Once more, different challenges inspired me : [PIN]spirational Challenges #177 (the cat in the fall leaves near the pumpkin), AAA Cards #76 (Masculine) and Seize the birthday (Seize the toppings : lots of leaves). I immediately knew what I wanted to do: a fall theme (as he is born in November), a rooster (to illustrate the male side) and some garden accessories!
I started with the background of my card using a “cloud” mask and Distress ink. I saw this technique on the blog of Kittie Kraft. For the leaves, I stamped Distress inks on white paper with fall colours and I used 2 dies to cut. Then I die cut the different elements of the scene and I coloured them with Distress inks. For the pumpkins, I stamped one part of a stamp which had some, and I coloured with Distress ink and colour pencils, then I fussy cut them.
I then assembled the scene by gluing the various elements with either Multi Medium Matte either with adhesive foam to bring relief and depth. I cut out a white frame with a stitched die and I printed the sentiment on the same type of paper with the Angelina font (20 pts).
And Voilà ! I managed to do what I had in mind, so for me it is already a satisfaction. My sister loves the card, I hope his friend will love it too !
