Hier j’ai joué à un de mes jeux préférés :  combiner des défis pour créer une carte. Celle-ci est née d’une combinaison de AAA Birthday Cards et son thème “Anniversaire Hivernal” et de plusieurs autres défis qui ont actuellement le thème de l’hiver ou la neige.

Yesterday I’ve played to one of my favourite games : to combe challenges to create a card. This card came about by combining AAA Birthday Cards and its “Winter Birthday” theme and several other challenges that currently have a winter theme or snow theme.

Quoi de mieux pour illustrer ces défis que d’utiliser une des adorables illustrations d’Anita Jeram. Et j’ai choisi ces trois compères qui “selon moi” s’en vont gaiement à la fête d’anniversaire d’un de leur petit copain !

What better way to illustrate these challenges than with one of Anita Jeram’s adorable illustrations. And I chose these three friends who “in my opinion” are happily going to one of their friend’s birthday parties !

J’ai tout d’abord commencé par faire l’arrière plan de cette carte. J’ai choisi un papier légèrement bleuté que j’ai découpé à la taille de la double carte de la même couleur. J’ai tamponné le sentiment dessus avant de l’embosser avec un classeur d’embossage.

I first started by making the background of this card. I chose a slightly blueish card stock that I cut to the size of the double card of the same colour. I stamped the sentiment on it before embossing it with an embossing folder.

Pour faire ressortir les flocons de neige, j’ai délicatement frotté un tampon encreur blanc sur les parties qui ressortent. Puis j’ai collé ce fond sur la double carte.

To highlight the snowflakes, I gently rubbed a white ink pad on the embossed parts. Then I flat adhered this background on the double card.

J’ai ensuite tamponné l’illustration sur du papier blanc et je l’ai coloré avec des crayons de couleur.

I then stamped the illustration on white paper and coloured it with coloured pencils.

Pour finir, j’ai découpé à la main autour des chats et avec des ciseaux crantés pour la partie neige puis j’ai collé l’illustration sur la double carte.

Finally, I fussy cut the cats and I used serrated scissors for the snow parts then I glued the illustration on the double card.

Et voilà ! Je me suis bien amusée en faisant cette carte. Il faut dire que ces chats sont adorables, non ?

Et voilà ! I had a lot of fun making this card. I have to say that these cats are adorable, right ?
