I’m back for a new challenge over at Day of the Month Card Club. It’s a theme for the Books and Reading lovers…

Je pense que tout le monde a entendu parler du Petit Prince puisqu’après la Bible et le Coran, il semblerait que ce soit le livre le plus traduit dans le monde. Il se trouve que son auteur, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, a passé une partie de son enfance dans notre ville et a été scolarisé à deux pas de chez nous.

I think everyone has heard of the Little Prince since after the Bible and the Koran, it seems that it is the most translated book in the world. It turns out that its author, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, spent part of his childhood in our city and was educated close to our home.

L’année dernière, la ville lui a rendu hommage pour le 120e anniversaire de sa naissance avec entre autre une fresque (par l’artiste C215) sur un des immeubles de la ville.

Last year, the city paid tribute to him for the 120th anniversary of his birth with, among other things, a fresco (by the artist C215) on one of the buildings of the city.

Le Petit Prince est aussi un des livres que ma fille voulait absolument dans sa bibliothèque car elle aime beaucoup cette histoire. C’est pourquoi quand j’ai vu qu’il existait des tampons à son effigie, je n’ai pas pu résister moi non plus !

Le Petit Prince is also one of the books that my daughter absolutely wanted in her library since she loves this story. That’s why when I saw that stamps with his effigy existed, I couldn’t resist me either !

Pour mettre en valeur cette image du Petit Prince, j’ai dessiné un livre ouvert sur les pages duquel j’ai tamponné le personnage et la célèbre phrase avec laquelle toutes les histoires d’enfant commence : Il était une fois…

To highlight this image of Le Petit Prince, I drew an open book on the pages of which I stamped the character and the famous sentence with which all children’s stories begin: Once upon a time …

J’ai tamponné autour du dessin des images de l’univers du livre. Puis j’ai coloré avec des crayons de couleur.

I stamped images of the universe of the book all around the drawing. Then I coloured with colour pencils.

Pour finir j’ai collé cette image sur une double carte kraft.

To finish, I adhered this image on a double kraft card.
