Carte/Card

Gerda Steiner – Happy Easter

Bonjour !

Hello !

I hope that you had a good weekend and that you enjoyed these two beautiful Spring days ! While hubby was changing my computer hard disc, I  took advantage to make some cards including this one.

Happy and Honoured to be one of the Top 4 at Krafty Chicks Challenge.

I couldn’t help myself to play with Gerda Steiner stamps to make an Easter card. This time I swapped the adorable bunnies for this cute little chick and this fun hen.

On a special marker paper*, I stamped the scene (hen, fence (using a mask), sun, and flower bed and Easter eggs), then I masked the images to make the sky with a stencil.

I removed all the masks then I coloured the images with markers. I adhered this paper on a double white card. In a square white card stock, the same size than the double card, I die cut an oval window (egg shape). I stamped the sentiment on top and I foam mounted it on the double card.

To finish, on a scrap of white card stock, I stamped the chick. I coloured it with markers, I fussy cut it and I mounted it on the double card with foam squares.

* This paper is very thin, white and smooth. As it is very light, it doesn’t change the weight of your card and unable the ink to go through like when you directly colour on the card.

And you, will you also have a surprise in your garden on Easter Day ?
