Less is More #430 – Sharon’s CASE card

Bonjour !

Hello !

Today a new challenge starts at Less is More ! And what a challenge ! Indeed, it’s about to CASE the wonderful card of our dear teammate Sharon. Today it is also her birthday: Happy Birthday Sharon ! I invite you all to go on her blog to wish her !

Our sponsor for October is Uniko !

Voici la carte de Sharon…/Here is Sharon’s card…

… et voici les 2 cartes qu’elle m’a inspirées./…and here are the two cards that she inspired me.

1/ Happy Birthday (using sponsor’s stamps)

As you can notice, I CASEd a lot of things for this card : the stars, the design, the colours and the sentiment !

I cut a square white card stock in two parts with stitched dies. Then I directly stamped the festive background on the double card in a gradient of orange and red.

On another white card stock and thanks to masks, I stamped the three balloons and their string, then I fussy cut them. On a tiny strip of paper I stamped the sentiment.

To finish I foam mounted the two white parts on the double white card as well as the balloons and the sentiment.

Stamp: Uniko “Balloon bash”, “Background Blocks – Party confetti”, “Flower Power #2” (sentiment) – Inks: Kaleidacolor “Desert heat”, CP “Tiki torch, Limoncello, Samba”.

2/ Happy birthday (using sponsor’s products)

I hope this card will have arrived on time …. Here I only played on the theme of the stars and the warm colours of Sharon’s card.

I stamped the starry lines and I gold heat embossed them. To make the stars, I used scraps of a background made with Brushos for THIS card. I stamped the three stars on top and I also gold heat embossed them. Then I fussy cut them.

I mounted the three big stars on the card with Glue Dots as well as the strip with the sentiment. Then with a glue pen I adhered all the tiny stars. On the small pictures you can see how they sparkle !

Stamp: Uniko “Background Builders – seeing stars” & “Simply said” (sentiment) – Brushos:  “Orange and Camboge” – Embossing Powder: SSS “Antique gold” – Embellishment: Tiny stars sequins (don’t know the brand).

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge : Make it Sparkle
Make my Monday #132 – Use Up Your Scraps ( scrap of a background made with Brushos for THIS card is used to make the big stars)

  1. I’m so sorry I’ve not visited for a while, life has been crazy and I’ve been a terrible teamie!
What awesome CASE cards, I love the bold balloons, they look great with the curve die cuts. And a great idea to mimic the sketch with the embossed star lines, and oh what patience you have to adhere all those teeny stars! Hugs xx

  2. Izzy, as always what beautiful examples of Clean and Simple and loving all those warm tones and dramatic gold combination to CASE Sharon’s card.
I’ve a HUGE apology to make too as I missed your birthday – what a terrible blog buddy I am as you’re always so organised. I hope you had a lovely time despite these stressful times. Very best wishes and I’ll try to do better next time. Sarah xx

  3. I love both of your cards, Izzy. I do think it is funny that you and Michelle had the same idea for the balloon one. That has happened to me quite a few times with Jill at Time Out! I love it! I love the colors, I love the stars and confetti! Both wonderful cards for celebration! Bright and cheerful!

  4. These are both so wonderfully celebratory, Izzy … delicious rich colours … and oh my, what patience you have to adhere all those individual stars on the glimmery gold highlighted one … such a fabulous look! Grosses bises, Anita 🙂
