Less is More #388 – Navy & Yellow

Bonjour !

Youpi !

Hello !

Yay ! It’s party time today and the whole month of February over at Less is More ! We are celebrating the 8 years of the challenge blog and for this occasion, not only we have our fabulous sponsor Uniko, who also celebrates his 7th birthday, but some special guests…I let you discover what the fun is over the main blog HERE !

For this happy event, the theme of this first fortnight is colourful with yellow and navy blue !

Here are my cards made exclusively with products from our Uniko sponsor.

1/ Time to Celebrate

Update : Happy and honoured to be one of the top 3 favourites over at CAS on Friday

I stamped and I heat embossed in navy bleu the outer and inner outlines of the flower, I stamped the center in yellow and I coloured the other parts in yellow with a marker. Then I fussy cut it.

On a double white card I drew the outline of the flower to know where to stamp the other patterns around. Then I stamped in navy blue the different foliage as well as the sentiment.

To finish, I adhered the flower with Glue Dots then I put 3 drops of yellow Nuvo Crystal drops.

Stamp: Uniko “Fun flowers”, “Nature Treasures II” & “Birthday Sentiments” – Embellishment: Nuvo Crystal Drops “Dandelion yellow” – Marker: Promarker “Canary” – Inks: Altenew “Sapphire”, Catherine Pooler “Limoncello”, Versafine “Majestic Blue”.

2/ Oh happy day !

And who says birthday, also says balloons and confettis of course !

First I stamped the background in two shades of yellow on the double white card.

Over it I stamped both balloons, their wire and the sentiment. Easy and quick !

Stamp: Uniko “Background blocks : Party confetti”, “Balloon bash” & “Wonderful day” (sentiment) – Inks: Altenew “Sapphire”, Catherine Pooler “Limoncello & Tiara”, Distress “Blueprint sketch”.

3/Happy Birthday

For this last card, not only I used stamps from our sponsor but also a stencil and dies.

On a white card stock of the card base size I placed a stencil and I softly sponged navy blue ink. Then I cut a stripe of this panel. I also cut a stripe of navy blue paper and I adhered it over the double white card.

On another white card stock I stamped and I white heat embossed the flower, then I stamped and I heat embossed the leaves in blue. I cut them with the matching dies.

I coloured the flower with markers. I stamped the sentiment in blue. Then I foam mounted the two parts of the stencilled panel over the double card, I glued the leaves and I adhered the flower with foam adhesive squares.

Stamp & die: Uniko “Pure florals : Chrysanthemum & dies”– Inks: Versafine “Majestic blue”, Distress “Blueprint sketch” – Stencil : Uniko “Stylised floral” – Promarkers : “Lemon, Canary, Yellow, Sunflower”.

  1. Izzy, you’re on fire again with these three fab creations! You’ve showcased the Uniko images so beautifully on all of these. A great combo of stamp sets on your first card, the second just screams celebration, and oooooh, that stencilled background on your last card is stunning, Bravo! xx

  2. My goodness, Izzy. Three fantastic cards – each so unique. I love that you made the first one square, and I love the little swirls you added to the word “celebrate”. The second is a party on a card. So fun and festive. The last is my fav… oh that stenciling, the blue strip, the varied yellows and the lined leaves… just a beautiful combination.

  3. Super job with Uniko products Izzy, you showcase them beautifully! I think the first card is my favorite -love how you popped up the yellow flower. The design of your third card really pleases my eye as well -I love the soft background. xxx

  4. Another trio of deliciousness Izzy! I’m totally wow-ed by the incredibly soft stencilling on your last card – that is so beautiful! Your balloon card is perfect for starting a party and I adore the layout on your first card. Some gorgeous inspiration here. Have a wonderful week xx
