Less is More #381 – CASE Card

Bonjour !

Quoi ?

Hello !

What? It’s already the end of September ? Why every year when September and then the autumn arrive, I always have the impression that the weeks fly twice as fast ? Still, it is the last Saturday of the month and we, at Less is More, have for you a new challenge !

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the talented Joanna of Jo-Jo’s Spot, our June winner. As I do, you will lover her beautiful CAS cards. Thank you for visiting her blog and leave her a nice comment.

For this challenge, we are very lucky to CASE Rebecca of Mellymoo Papercrafting who also sponsors this challenge with a Stampin’Up related prize. And look the beautiful card that we have to CASE….

Clean & Simple comme nous les aimons chez Less is More ! Voici comment je m’en suis inspirée…

Clean & Simple as we love them at Less is More ! Here’s how I got inspired …

1/ Merci

Pour cette carte je me suis inspirée :

– des deux branches

– du sentiment en découpe

– de la touche dorée

– et, bien sûr, de la mise en page.

For this card I focused on :

– the two branches

– the die cut sentiment

– the gold touch

– and of course, the layout.

I had in my stash, a left over of a background made for THIS card, and as it has gold marks on it, I used it to die cut the branches. The sentiment is die cut both in gold paper and in a paper inked with Distress with the same fall shades.

Then I glued everything on a double kraft card. I love this combination for fall. And I finished the card with sequins.

Dies: Simply Graphic “Branches d’automne” & “Planche remerciement et ses dies”  – Embellishment : Sequins from Little Things from Lucy’s cards “Autumn Sparkle”.

2/ Noël

Update : So happy and honoured to be one of the rockers at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges

Since Christmas is coming, I wanted to complete my stock of cards and I opted for this beautiful die cut and with a composition with stamps.

On the double white card, I stamped the fir branch. Then on another white card stock, I stamped the holly leaves, the berries and I fussy cut them.

On a white card stock and a god mirror paper I die cut the word Noël. I made some splashes with gold paint over the white die cut. Then I glued the two die cuts one above the other but with a slight shift.

To finish, I adhered the word Noël over the double card, just above the fir branch. Then I foam mounted the holly leaves and the berries. I put some Glossy Accent over the berries for more shine. Some golden stars to make it even more festive !

Die: Winnie & Walter “In a word : Noël” – Stamps: Uniko “Winter foliage” – Inks : Catherine Pooler “Grass skirt, Lime rickey, Rockin’ red”.

3/ Heureux anniversaire

I chose these 2 fuchsia blooms for my last card that I sent to one of my friend who celebrates her birthday next Monday.

As I know her preferences, I chose to colour these pretty buds with pink-orange shades instead of fuchsia colour.

I simply stamped the flowers on the double white card with a very soft colour, then I coloured them with colour pencils.

Finally I stamped the sentiment in black and I glued some sequins.

Stamps: Pretty Pink Posh “Flourishing fuchsias”, Simply Graphic “Planche anniversaire 2” – Colour Pencils : Faber-Castell Polychromos “#132, 130, 127, 112, 115, 117, 118”.

  1. Wow!!! You’ve shown us how we could use a layout in so many different ways!
All gorgeous! Thank you so much for joining us at Seize the Birthday!

  2. Wow, Izzy, you never fail to create such gorgeous makes, and so many too! I love them all, loving the warm and gold tones on the craft, the Uniko stamps with the gold splattered Noel look so fab. But my fave is the last one, those fuchsias are so so pretty. Three great interpretations of Rebecca’s card xx

  3. It amazes me every time how you can come up with several very different versions using the same sketch, colors, or as in this case, card from a fellow stamper. Adore all three cards but the first one is my favorite! The combination of kraft, fall colors, and a touch of gold is so beautiful!

  4. Three beauties, Isabelle … the autumn colours with the touch of gold on the first is so rich and gorgeous … and cosy with the kraft background! The freshness of the Noel with the Christmas greens is delicious … and your birthday card is so delicate and so beautifully coloured! Bises et hugs, Anita 🙂

I think the second card might be my favorite -the large die cut sentiment is just so stunning and I love the subtle way you added gold to your card! Beautiful coloring on your third card. xxx

  7. Your Noel Christmas card is stunning! Loving the gold splatter across the noel die cut. Staggering the gold mirri behind it really makes it jump off the page.

Thank you for taking part in the September Rudolph Days Challenge.

  8. Wow Isabelle, what lovely cards. Your Christmas one, especially, is absolutely stunning. I love the way you’ve CASEd Rebecca’s card but have made it completely your own. That “NOEL” die-cut with the splashes of gold is beautiful against the stamped fir branch and die-cut holly. A lovely clean and simple design with a great deal of elegance. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
