We have the pleasure to welcome Sue Blamey de Sue’s Card Craft, our February winner. Why not pop over her blog to admire her wonderful cards and you can leave her a nice comment !

I remind you that our sponsor for April is Happy Little Stampers.

Here are the three cards that I had fun to do with this sketch.

1/ Heureux anniversaire

I simply reproduced the sketch using this beautiful stamp set from Uniko. I stamped the larger motif directly onto the double card with Versamark ink and I heat embossed with silver powder.

I did the same thing with the two other motifs on a separate sheet of paper and I fussy cut them. I glued the smaller one directly onto the card and I foam mounted the intermediate one.

To finish I stamped and I heat embossed in turquoise the sentiment over a strip of blue paper, then I foam mounted it. I put some Nuvo Crystal drops on the center of the motifs as well as on the card.

Stamps: Uniko “Decorative doilies – the hands of time”, Simply Graphic “Planche anniversaire” (sentiment) – Embellishments : Nuvo Crystal drops “Caribbean ocean”, Hero Arts EP “Silver”.

2/ Happy Birthday

As I told you in a previous post, the months of April, May and June are very busy months in birthdays, so the sentiments vary very little, only in the language 😀!

On the double card I stamped the bigger flower in soft pink. Then on a separate sheet, I stamped the dark pink flower and the leaves and I die cut them with the matching dies.

I glued the leaves on the card and I foam mounted the second flower and the sentiment. To finish, I put some Nuvo Crystal drops.

Stamps: Uniko “Beautiful blooms I and matching dies” & “Simply said blocks” (sentiment) – Inks : Catherine Pooler “Party dress, It’s a girl, Lime Rickey, Grass skirt” – Embellishments : Nuvo Crystal drops “Carnation pink, Rhubarb crumble, Apple green”.

3/ Hakuna Matata

Everyone knows this refrain and it turns out that my daughter put it in my mind last weekend … and the card is born !

On a multimedia paper I blended Distress Oxide inks to make a sunrise. Then I die cut it.

Before adhering this die cut on the card, I stamped the silhouettes in black on the double card. Then I placed back the die cut and I stamped again the silhouettes.

Finally I stamped the sentiment with the same Distress Oxide inks.
