Less is More Week #350 – OLC Stars

Hello !

Bonjour !

It’s Saturday again, which means a new challenge over at Less is More and what a chance since it’s the one that you all are waiting for (I swear that you’ll finish by loving it !)….

We would love to see in our gallery this week, One Layer Cards with some stars to illustrate them ! As you already know, our sponsor this month is Uniko and we have again the great honour to welcome this week its creator, Bev, as our Guest Designer ! For the lucky ones who are around Doncaster on Sunday, I remind you that she will have a stand at the Stamp Magic Craft Show. A lovely occasion to meet her as well as some members of the team and to find the next release which will be available next Monday on the web shop !

I have in my stash, a lot of wooden stamps, which for some of them have never been used (yes I know, I’m ashamed !). So I wanted to remedy it by using this wonderful star !

On a double blue card, I stamped the star and the sentiment with Versamark and I heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Even if for our challenges we love to see cards with blank spaces, I found that mine had to much empty space, so I added this ribbon of little stars that just comes straight from the latest September release at Uniko !

To finish, I just added a little drop of a cream Pearl Pen on the center of the star !

Stamp: PSX “G-0181”, Uniko “Reach for the stars”, CAS-ual fridays “Lovely snowflake” (sentiment) – Embellishment: Hero Arts “white EP”, Viva Decor Pearl Pen “Cream”.
Challenges:
Addicted to Stamp and More #263 : Holiday
Happy Little Stampers October CAS Challenge : One layer card

2/ Bonne Année / Happy New Year

For this card I’ve been inspired among others by two current challenges : CAS Colours & Sketch for the sketch and Christmas Cards Challenge for the colours.

Voici ma carte / Here is my card.

As you can notice it, this card is very simple and easy to make. I stamped all the elements with Versamark ink and I heat embossed with silver powder.

Then with coloured pencils I had fun to colour inside the stars. A bit of Wink of Stella over the stars to give a little bit more of shimmer to the card (unfortunately we cannot see it on the picture), and Voilà !

Stamp: Uniko “Background builders: seeing stars”, Simply Graphic “planche bonheur et prospérité” (sentiment) – Embellishment: Hero Arts “silver EP”, Kuretake Wink of Stella “Clear & Silver” – Coloured Pencils : Faber-Castell Polychromos “#134 & 138”.
Challenges :
CAS Colours & Sketch #244 : Sketch
Christmas Cards challenge #23 : optional challenge Purple & Silver ornaments
Inkspirational #145 Designer’s choice : One Layer Card
Casology Week 270 : Odd

3/ Joyeux Anniversaire

I made this card for my dear teamy Sharon who celebrated her birthday this past Tuesday, do not hesitate to leave her a lovely comment for the occasion !

I masked a double white card to create a stripe then I blended five shades of Distress inks. I took off the masking stripes then I heat dried. I put some antistatic powder and I stamped the different stars with Versamark ink before heat embossing with gold powder. To finish I stamped the sentiment in black.

Stamp: Uniko “Background builders: seeing stars”, Simply Graphic “planche anniversaire” (sentiment) – Embellishment: Simon Says Stamp “Antique Silver”, Ranger “Perfect Pearls” – Inks : Distress “Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seeds, Ripe Persimmon, Abandoned Coral”.
Challenges :
Stamplorations CAS challenge October : Anything CAS goes Optional color twist : Orange
AAA cards #100 – Sketch
