Less is More Week #339 – Pierce your project

Bonjour !

Cinquième samedi du mois, ce qui signifie un défi “lucky dip” à Less is More !

Hello !

Fifth Saturday of the month, which means a “lucky dip” challenge along at Less is More!

Here are the cards that I’ve created to inspire you….at least I hope !

1/ Bienvenue à votre petit garçon / Welcome to your baby boy

I was ordered a card for a birth and so I used this challenge as a support. On a Kraft cardstock, I sewed a white outline. I then stamped the little sleeping cub and I heat embossed it with white powder.

With a Versamark pen, I drew the moon so that the cub appeared to sit on it. I colored the image with colour pencils and then with a stencil and a white colour pencil I drew the stars.

To finish, I stamped the sentiment on a Vellum strip and I heat embossed in white. I adhered the sentiment with two brads. I foam mounted the image on a double kraft card.

Stamp: Craft sensations “teddy”, Simply Graphic “Planche anniversaire” (sentiment) – Inks: Versamark – Pencils: Faber-Castell watercolour “#401, #430, #447, #478, #480,  #483, #496” – Embellishments: HA “White embossing powder”, K-Kingdom “brads”– Stencil: Carta Bella “good night”.
Challenge:
Addicted to Stamp and More #252 : Make your mark

For this card I stayed with a red and white combo that I love for Christmas. I dry embossed a red cardstock with an embossing folder and I cut an opening in the center to fold the sides and tie them with an eyelet.

On a double white card I stamped and I heat embossed the sentiment. I glued some red snowflakes previously cut with a puncher.

I adhered the red panel over the double white card and I added a poinsettia and some fir branches that remained from one of the cards of the previous challenge.

Stamp: Florilège “Joyeux Noël” – Inks: Versafine “Onyx Black” – Embossing folder: K-Kingdom “Snowflakes”– Dies: Poppy Stamps “Small blooming poinsettia” – Punchers: Martha Stewart “Fir branch” & “Snowflakes border”, EK Success “Branch”.

Bises

  2. These are two fab cards Izzy. Your sewing on the first card is so neat and I can’t believe that the moon has been hand drawn because it looks so good. That really is a dreamy baby card! The we are given the beautiful and bold Christmas card. What a wonderful way to use the eyelets too – love it. xx

  3. Oh my! The colouring on kraft 😍😍😍! What a perfect card for a birth… I LOVE white embossing on kraft, it’s so so elegant. And you did so well with your Versamark pen when drawing the moon – I find it hard to draw freehand especially when the ink is so feint. Bravo! And the red and white card is classically elegant – I like how you cut it open to place the sentiment inside, a creative way to get an aperture. Beautiful! I hope you have had (are having) a wonderful holiday too. Hugs, Lisa xx

  4. That little bear is just adorable, Isabelle … the soft look of white on kraft is perfect for him … and a little baby boy! Bold, birhgt and texture-y Christmas card … the crisp white die cut posy is fabulous next to the sentiment window! Bon semaine! Bises, Anita 🙂
