Carte/Card

K-Kingdom – Petit village fantaisiste / Small whimsical village

Bonjour !

Hello !

I hope you had a good weekend and that you are ready for a new creative week ! I had time to make a card inspired by the latest challenge #77 from Time OUT and its inspiration photo.

When I saw this picture, I immediately remembered a stamp that I have in my stock for a few years and that I have never used (NBUS), so it was the perfect opportunity!

Voici ma carte / Here is my take :

Like the photo of inspiration, I find this stamp very fanciful, with these little houses drawn as children do. There is even an arc of a circle. I just added some mini stamps (cloud, stars and flowers) to complete the image.

On a double card I embossed with a die the oval shape of the picture. I stamped the image and the add-ons with Versafine ink and I heat embossed with clear powder. Then I coloured with watercolour brush pens. I only diluted it with water for the sky and the grass, which in my opinion makes the image even more childish.

And finally I stamped the sentiment (enjoy these sweet moments)! I’m pretty happy with the result! I can use this card for different occasions: a retirement, a holiday, a new home …. And voila!

Thank you for your visit and feel free to leave me a comment, I am always delighted to hear from you. Have a nice weekend and see you soon I hope ! 😀

  6. Izzy, that little stamped village is adorable and I love how you’ve coloured it and added to it as inspired by Time Out’s fabulous picture. It looks like such a happy place! Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!

  7. What an adorable stamp this is, I love the whimsical look of it, and I think you picked the perfect colouring medium (and technique) for it. I love the finished result and all the extra little details you added with flowers and clouds – adorable. And it’s lovely to have a card to suit so many occasions. Super sweet card.

Just while I think of it, I did use the Clarity Brushes in my last post (the pink flower and stencilled background). I was able to get them off Amazon here in the UK and maybe you would be able to get them from there too? I think there are now some other similar brushes out that Debby Hughes of Lime Doodle Design used recently but I forget their name – sorry 🙂

Have a great week Izzy, Lisa x
